Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But you must have known I was not a great fool, you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.

I mean technically Dread Pirate Westley didn't ask which cup had the poison, only 'where is the poison', and never specified they had to drink from the cups. Were I Vizzini I'd have figured both cups were poisoned, addressed it, and drank from the bottle.@@unsightlyblade

It's funny when you realise that if Blackbeard actually tried to save his daughter he would have lived. But Captain Jack Sparrow knew that he wouldn't. So he used his wits to know that Blackbeard would drink the one he offers his daughter that he says that has the tear. That was really brilliant of Jack do to that. Showing us he might act and behave like a fool. But in reality he is a very smart man.
@richardparadox163Ай бұрын
No, it’s even smarter Jack out him in a no win scenario. If Blackbeard decided to save his daughter, Jack would have have realized he “accidentally” switched the cups before he let Blackbeard drink and given him the correct cup.

@richardparadox163Ай бұрын
@@kevinl.6801yeah, but why would she pull out a sword by the blade even if it’s not poisoned.
@kevinl.6801Ай бұрын
Angelica was under a shock. She couldn't believe that her dad lost the fight against Barbossa. When you are under a shock you can't think logical. That's why she does something unusual. The second possibility is she didn't really care about herself. She already decided to die for her father so she doesn't care about a cut on her hand. The third possibility is she was scared. If her father dies before he drinks the tear and the water from the Fountain she can't sacrifice herself for her father
