Kojima has truly mastered the act of spoiling something without context. I'm sure everything in the trailer are spoilers but we just didn't know. That happened on MGS's trailers too. And yet he still managed to hook many people's attention.
@IronsaintEntertainment5 жыл бұрын
Yoko Taro does it too. NieR and NieR: Automata's title screen openings spoil the shit outta so much, but without the context you don't properly understand it until you play it. I call it an esoteric opening. The answers are plain to see yet you don't fully understand it until you have the knowledge to properly understand it. Then it makes perfect sense.

29th May, the day the new trailer for Death Stranding is released, is also the day Einstein's Theory of Relativity was proven right EXACTLY 100 years ago. May 29, 2019, is the 100th anniversary of a total solar eclipse, during which Sir Arthur Eddington observed the bending of light around the sun, thereby proving Einstein’s general relativity theory and catapulting Einstein into rock star fame.

8:24 Interesting thing about this trailer ending is Kojima's story about his elementary school goals. He always wanted to be an astronaut and go to the moon, but he found out that NASA doesnt take in Japanese people as employees (which might've been probably true for that time), so he gave up on it. His father had huge movie collection, so he always watched 2001: A Space Odyssey because it reminded him of his early dreams and he felt like he was on the moon when watching it. His father's love for movies also inspired him to start making movies, but after finding out that they are very expensive to be made properly, he instead shifted to games as his job after he saw that games can be more than simple linear combo chasing button mashers. This tells us a lot of interesting things, though, that by small chance Kojima could be that baby (although i feel like its Heartman controlling it), or that we might be able experience moon landing, since game explores the events of the past.
