A short bonus video for last week's essay. I'm betting dollars to donuts that Silent Hills collaborator and horror manga mastermind Junji Ito is involved in Death Stranding; here's why. Support me on Patreon: / michaelsaba

I promised myself I would play the first game Kojima makes by himself...even if it was a horror game that could kill my sanity.....Please don't make me die...

I just now thought about the fact than in P.T., you keep essentially walking downward in a spiral pattern. It's like it just keeps repeating infinitely. Oh, I really hope Junji Ito is involved in Death Stranding. I'm getting shivers just thinking about all the imagery and metaphor.

Fuck, If he really works on it, which is likely, I am not sure I will sleep any longer after playing Deth Stranding..

Damn if only. With this concept i can only hope the new horror game being worked on has some inspiration from Uzumaki.

I'm not a big horror fan in games but if Ito's hand is it this I might look into getting it. Uzumaki was horrifying and intriguing. Anyway, nice video!

Water in its liquid state is formless. He is using metaphors for meditation.

Holy shit kojima did actually reference sharks and alien invasion movies/comics alot in his tweets that followed the announcement of death stranding and alot of people believed that sharks would play a big role in his game so I guess you're right

I was thinking about The similarities between the spiral in uzumaki and the umbilical cord in death stranding and who both of them have The same importance with the story
@Aster_Risk7 жыл бұрын
Yes! There's the imagery from Uzumaki where two people in love are intertwined, and it looks very much like an umbilical cord. There's also the part that's literally about childbirth.

All of this sounds great and all but Kojima already confirmed DS will not be a horror game:(. He even said there's going to be HUMOR in the game. Bad decisions by both Konami and Kojima...

That's what he always does, he literally never keeps the same tone for a whole game.

Ugh and this is stupid level of theory crafting. Like eggs come from chickens who have eyes, must mean illuminati. He might have gleaned some inspiration from Gioh, but Junji Ito no doubt got his ideas from somewhere too. With such stupidity, Jaws must have been the inspiration for the shark, and Moby-Dick for including a whale.
