As a former LEO and CO, i can say with 100% certainty that the reason there is violence is prisons is because inmates are either opportunistic violent offenders, predators or full blown psychopaths. I can also confirm that there were inmates who were really good ppl who made mistakes and there were inmates who i trusted more than some of the officers i worked with. I think it is critical that violent offenders/predators and psychopaths be removed from Gen Pop and sent on to gladiator school, guarded from the outside and allowed to never reenter society. That class of inmate only accounts for about 4-11% of inmates. The rest can do their time and go home.

So you’re saying if you’re charged with a violent crime you should be thrown away? Can really see why u became a co .. Wanted that power huh? Let me ask you this if the inmate is a residential burglary offender goes in does his lil year or two but knows he’s safe because any violent offender isn’t there do you think they will never break in a house again . The recidivism rate is already sky high if they felt safe it would be higher . Just for context I was convicted of manslaughter at 17 did 5 years been out since have 2 kids a house 65k a year job and haven’t even had a ticket so rly fuck you for saying violent offenders can’t b rehabilitated.

@@stephencole8096 he didn’t say “violent offenders” he said “opportunistic violent offenders” meaning if they get the opportunity violence is going to happen. Now you know exactly what kind of people he’s talking about. I believe he was making that distinction but only he knows

@@stephencole8096 Manslaughter is not the type offense i would include in my assessment. I mean people who will use violence to get what they want if the opportunity presents itself. Residential Burglary is similar although people who commit residential burglary when ppl are home are probably opportunistic or psychopathic. Btw, you were not rehabilitated. You made a decision to make yourself better. Our system of warehousing ppl in most cases does not seek to rehabilitate although sometimes the resources to make yourself better are available. Congratulations to you for making decisions to change your life.

@@stephencole8096 and keep in mind my post said only 4% - 11% of offenders meet this criteria. And I said good ppl also find themselves in jail or prison. Obviously you are one of the good ppl that made a bad choice and corrected it.

Was in a CCA back in 2006, no shit on Fridays you could order medium pizzas or meatball subs. They charged inmates double. We also had PlayStation and tons of games. Blows my mind today. We knew an officer who would sleep with inmates for a price. You could get any drugs you wanted. The corruption was so bad the state took over the facility about 10 or so years ago.

I was at Cushing 2009-2012. Everyone had a poker. They had an industry work duty on the yard and they would sometime get actual blades from there. It was like a return of Walmart products and kitchen knives were sometimes in the mix. We fell out with the IBH over a package that came over the fence and they were pinching that bag. Oh and the UAB get their patches on their neck. Up close behind the ear. CircleNeggers is what unaffiliated woods called them.

I was on Delta North when this happened. We were locked down for 6months. DOC made a massive chainpull (Inmate Movement) I saw while incarcerated. This riot was so well orchestrated by the Irish mob that it literally fell out on every single yard in the state. Some worse than others, but all facilities went on lockdown for multiple weeks.

I'm friends with Seth Smith who is the under secretary for the department of corrections in Louisiana and is married to Burl Cains daughter. He used to be an assistant Warden at Angola. There's not alot of news from Angola anymore. They have inmate clubs, bands, the rodeo, wood working, college courses, etc now.

Enjoyed your breakdown of that event in the Oklahoma prison, your one comment about public defenders not always being dump trucks was spot on. It’s luck (or bad luck) of the draw if you’re going to court with one of them as your advocate, but it looks like any fresh out of law school attorney would’ve been successful in the Oklahoma case, as the state was woefully ill-prepared to get those guy’s bound over for trial. Good job on your channel bro, I’m a fan and I’ll be checking you out in the future. Peace

So I was in Tulsa Drug Court From 2017-2019 I’ll never forget when The Irish Mob burned “DATL” down to the ground 😂😂 We did our UA’s there the owner and staff were always extremely rude, hateful, demeaning, condescending to clientele ESPECIALLY The Irish Mob. Those dudes are not the ones you wanna make your enemy. They definitely will handle their business if they feel disrespected. I felt sorry for them, seeing grown men deep in addiction, always broke, constantly in trouble with the law, children they didn’t take care of, it was heartbreaking. Those men grew up in poverty with abusive parents so they turn to IM. The 3 dudes that I got to know didn’t finish the program, caught new charges and are back in prison sadly.

What was DATL? My husband did drug court at Human Skills & Resources in Sapulpa. Congrats for graduating!! Who cares that it took 3 years - YOU DID IT! That program was so intense from what I remember from him going through it. He ended up going back & was actually at A&R Lexington when this happened. Crazy.

@Nikkithedoll I think I know you! Not "know" you, but know OF you. If you're who I think you are (and I think you are - I'd recognize your gorgeous face anywhere 😇) you used to party way back in the day with Chris H (dont want to say his last name publicly) . I'm the mother of his son 😉 I used to pick him up from your house on Yale after the clubs closed. Crazy fun times 😜 I hope you're doing well ❤️

I'm from Tulsa, my husband was in Charlie south he's a piasa but he was there when this happened. The UAB and Irish mob leaders were best friends and fell out behind a woman back in the day. I know every single major prison gang story involving any oklahoma gang related instances. You haven't covered the Indian brotherhood and neighborhood crips in early 2000s? Of course now after a prison sentence in the feds and every man in my life has been to state and prison sentences. I am in recovery now but this was a major part of my life for soooo long

I worked in that prison in (I think) 2005 as the assistant manager of the kitchen. I could only take it for a couple of months, not because of the inmates but because of the staff.

I thought I was the only one. Worked with inmates in the kitchen at Louisville Metro Corrections. It was the staff for me to. The constant abuse of low level inmates would often end up with the inmate becoming a higher level due to the abuse.

There's a killer book about the Aryan Brotherhood of Arizona called Murder Unpunished. Almost as old as the CA one. Goes through alot of history. AB of AZ is in good National Standing, as an "org". Recommended read.

Fuck yea, good to know . I did 7 years in AZ and probated under a full patch brother, thank God I didn't fully commit . I've been free 13 years now. The history includes so much violence , betrayal, mystery , which includes lots of dis information within the organization to give a individual more leverage to maintain a higher status of respect within the organization. I've personally been given orders to take someone out who wasn't a snitch , didn't owe money or wasn't a chomo. I knew it was a bullshit call when I was told to hit the guy. I did alot of my time in SMU and central unit so I got to meet some very knowledgeable folks within the walls that had different intimate perspectives of the AB history. Side note I lived with the Tyson brothers for years , the shit they were in there for is crazy , they have a whole movie made on about their case.

@russeljones9510 , tons of info on them in the book. Did a tail end couple of months in building 2 before getting shipped to Morey in Buckeye, back before they started the step down stuff, but after it switched back to GP. Finished in GP, and never pursued super-duper politics, just held my own mud, still honestly never encountered any serious wrongdoings or severely bad calls. Some dickheads I was happy to hear met fates I felt they deserved here and there, but nothing that was questionable on grounds of being valid or not. 2017 for me, and been outta state for 4 years.

I did several years in Oklahoma, and a black guy got killed by a white guy for a debt (Jess Dunn 1991) and I got shipped out with hundreds of other people to avoid a riot. I went to McAllisters minimum security and watched a guy get beat down my first night. The minimum security prisons in that state aren't that bad though.

My state is the same way with public defenders/court appointed attorneys. They aren’t specifically just public defenders and every attorney on the state bar has to do a certain amount of pro bono work so some people get lucky and will be assigned some of the best legal counsel in the state absolutely free.

I did time in Oklahoma (short timer, i only did 14 months but time is time) and my cellie had just gotten outta CCA and he said that place was poppin. Some of the stories he told me made me grateful i never saw the inside of CCA. And your right things like that is just part of being in prison. I saw a few messed up situtations in my short time there and i learned to just mind my own business and dont get too close to anyone.
