Although the graphical fidelity was a lot lower, the classic MK games had a really horrific feel to the fatalities due to the crisp audio and sound effects.

Kitana’s Kiss of Death was also in MK11 as a Brutality. Same with Jax’s giant step. They actually used a lot of the Klassic fatalities as brutalities in that game.
