On our Saturday circle, Pat takes Chinaco along so that he can school him and teach him to pull weight and accept things dragging along behind him...and we get to take home a really nice pole for our trouble! For more information, head to our website www.thedisciplinedride.com . As always, don’t forget to hit the Like button, Subscribe to our channel if you enjoyed this video, and Share with your friends. A special thank you to our friend, Dave Stamey, for the use of his music. Please visit his website, www.davestamey.com , and purchase one or two DVD’s and take a look at his schedule. Thank you very much for watching! Stay safe...

Great video, Pat & Deb. Everybody is learning. I like that. You are absolutely correct about the water situation out here on the Navajo Reservation and, I am certain, on almost any reservation in this country. It is not acceptable that anyone should be without running water, electricity, or access to proper sewage in this day and age in the "wealthiest nation in the history of the world". We need to share the wealth a little better, folks. Thanks for pointing this out - again - Pat.

I love listening to this man speak..... literally but also silently. Just observing the way he communicates with horses, without any audible language or sound. Deb, you’re absolutely stunning! Such a beautiful view/landscape! Thank you both for helping spread knowledge and awareness. I find the stories your toe to be much more interesting than sitting in a classroom, reading out of a history book.🙏🏼

Hi Pat & Deb, I like your ways of schooling, as well as your attitude toward the horses you are working with. I'm working with my 7 year old QH gelding. We (both) :-) learned already a lot from your excellent videos. I'm looking forward to seeing your latest videos every week. THANK YOU VERY MUCH ! In combination with my riding lessons, given by an experienced & successful QH - Trainer, your additional input goes very well. kind regards Manfred, Germany

Saw the Shoshone update on his progress to this bit. What is the bit? You said curb but obviously has a cricket and looks like leather curb strap so guessing not leverage. Great respect for the Code Talkers. If there are ways you know we can help the Navajo any info would be appreciated. Very cool to bring attention to that important piece of history.
@PatnDebPuckett
@PatnDebPuckett 3 жыл бұрын
All western bits with the exception of Spade bits used properly are leverage bits. The bit that Shoshone is riding in is a half breed. All of the bits we use have crickets. I think there’s a water project that helps to bring water systems to individual families not he Navajo Reservation. While it doesn’t solve the big problems of water rights, it does bring immediate relief and more efficient water storage systems. It’s organized through Dig Deep: www.navajowaterproject.org/. Thank you for any help you can render!

Why was the tow rope looped over the back of the saddle not the front? I love learning from you!

It allows the log to go from left eye to right eye. If it was hooked on the front, it would only be in one eye.
