On July 4, Britons will head to the polls to elect a new parliament, which could result in a change of government after fourteen years of Conservative Party rule. While the election has primarily focused on domestic issues, including the economy, cost of living and the National Health Service crisis, the result of these elections could have a significant impact on the UK’s foreign policy and its relationship with Europe and the United States during a critical time for transatlantic relations.
What do the results of the United Kingdom’s general election mean for the future of UK foreign policy, security and defense, and economic and trade policies?
