Debt settlement is a dumbass option never do it. It destroys your credit not to mention the potential law suits. Only an idiot would choose this option

For some people it can actually be a good option. If you're income is too high for a chapter 7 and you'd be in a 100% chapter 13 plan, DS might be something to consider! But it's not for everyone, that's for sure Some people are also just really against bankruptcy because of the stigma which is quite unfortunate
