This was my favorite musical composition when I was 4 years old. My parents would expose us to beautiful music from an early age. I think this must have had much to do with my predilection for classical music since my days in college. Debussy's preference for ethereal and delicate feelings can create an exquisite state of mind, like his Reverie implies.

Have listened to 3 versions of this - one faster, one slower. This for me is the best. Have always admired Rubinstein.

I saw Arthur Rubinstein perform at Jones Hall in Houston, Texas in 1969. It was a wonderful evening. What a virtuoso! And what can one say about Claude Debussy, a master of the most delicate and beautiful compositions in musical literature.

Too fast?! Too fast?! Please, this is Arthur Rubinstein; if you listen to the original by Debussy himself I don't think it would be too far off. I saw Arthur Rubinstein in person in Jones Hall, Houston, Texas in 1969 in an all Chopin program. He was simply virtuosisimo, one of the best pianists of the XX century!

Whoa, caught me off guard the way he suddenly calmed down at 1:13. Not sure I like it that way?

It's a good tempo. If you play this slower it is heavy and boring.
