'ANTICULT' highlights just how vital Decapitated have remained two decades deep into their career. Decapitated have long been undeniable masters of their craft and they are expanding their parameters with Anticult, which should elevate the band's profile beyond the death metal realm in which it has dominated for years.
"Anticult represents the legacy and future of Decapitated," said guitarist Vogg. "We're extremely proud of the record, in both the song compositions and the production. This is the best representation of our music and we're really excited for the world to hear it!"
The album's massive musical leap forward is evidenced by "Never." It's a song with an incredible bite and retains Decapitated's signature fury. But it's also undeniably catchy and takes up residence in your brain and stays there.
"'Never,' the first track we are showcasing from the record, is fast, it's technical, and most importantly, it's heavy," Vogg commented. "For us, it's what Decapitated is all about… and it will be really fun to play live. Enjoy it!"
Vocalist Rasta weighed in about the subject matter of "Never," offering this insight into the lyrical content: "There is no mystical, doomish fate waiting for us. The only judgment pending is our own. The simple relationship between cause and effect is what determines our future. We are now witnessing something that should never have happened - our homes have become our civilization's grave."

I legitimately love old decapitated, but new decapitated is such a unique technical/groove style that's still heavy, and there aren't a lot of bands that do that without going overboard on chugging or sweeps. Can't get enough of this shit.

I've been meaning to get more into these guys, first song I heard from them was blood mantre and thought it was sick but never got an album (distracted by other band releases) then I see this song and their "never" tracl, listened to both and really liked them. But reading all the comments about how everyone is complaining how they changed compared to their older releases.. I took the time to listen to them too and realized they're both great and different. Don't be so elitist guys..its not like they switched to rap or techno.

It's a BIG change. Decapitated has been around for 20 years, so of course they will change. They just haven't changed for the better, (in my opinion), and when a band like Decapitated releases an album, you have 20 years of expectations leading up to it. Of course it's not rap or techno, thank satan for that, but imagine you're used to eating cornflakes, but suddenly you have to eat rocks. It's a big change, but you're still eating.

Love the multiple influences in this song. The main riff? Close to a sped up "I am the Antidote" by Lost Society. The overall vibe? Sepultura around Chaos AD with modern tone. The chorus? Gojira's Low Land-esque atmosphere. The ending? Very akin to War by Meshuggah !

Decapitated is one of those most out there adventurous bands in my eyes and ears ever. They never let you rest, they demand you jump up with them and put you on an endearing journey to soul and spirit for life anf fighting fortitude to never let go and keep on keeping on with whatever you need keeping on with. They are like Opeth with no rest, just when you think you need to, they will give you more, and then gojira's humanity-vibe and lamb of god's groovey/fun-time sensation. This is just my opinion anyway

kostas Hitchens their new s*** is absolutely amazing they play 8 string guitars now and they're still technical but now a day special brutality to it. I'm in love with the newer albums

majority of the comments says that looks like soulfly or sepultura.... when i listened to the video my first reaction is soulfly.... yeahhh its look like soulfly or sepultura... but i really like it, decapitated is one of my music list.. rock n roll to the world... yeahhhh

I've adored decapitated since my early teens when I first saw them live in 2004. I've watched them live over 50+ times and I'm so beyond proud of them. Yes they've changed their sound but why shouldn't they after being around so long? I'm just glad it's not a reggae album as Rafał keeps threatening me with one haha

Yeah, if you want sepulturism listen to recent things from Ektomorf. This does have some sepultura elements, but definitely not entirely. Listen to Ektomorf - Prophet of Doom and compare it with this to see what I mean.

I'm ashamed to say, but Iv'e just "discovered" this band. I absolutely love this track! Iv'e listened to the entire "Anticult" album and can get into it.
