I have a question: is there a exhaust recirculation system on this engine/ EGR?
@sealegend16272 жыл бұрын
Hey hello.....your query is very interesting....there is no EGR system on generator engines as the exhaust qty is too low also the exhaust gases drive the turbocharger which in turn provides additional air to the engine...if the exhaust gases are recirculated, that will affect turbocharger performance further affecting the air fuel ratio...

Why haven’t you taken out the liners along with piston to clean the jacket spaces and change their o rings.?? Is it not necessary to take out liners as well.??
@sealegend16276 күн бұрын
It's a good question and I appreciate you come up with it... If at all the jacket cooling water temperatures are within range as per makers guidelines....it's not need to remove the liners... Hence proper chemical dosing and weekly testing for JCW is necessary...
@Sahas44566 күн бұрын
@@sealegend1627 After all these years I haven’t seen a single ship with optimum jcw parameters.. so i always prefer to take the liners out.. because there will be mud and scale accumulation between the spaces

It has been a wrong job to shoot a refurbishment and practice video in this way without testing the valve seats, exhaust and suction valves for leaks. you are giving people incomplete information
@sealegend16272 жыл бұрын
Hey I heartily appreciate ur comments..... actually had planned to cover up the smallest part during decarb job, but it would had made the video too too long...so opt to make small parts for easy understanding...for example...later I have uploaded the valve seat renewal video and coming up with other parts too...I thank you for ur comment which gave me topic for leak testing of valves...will definitely prepare a video on it..
