Love it, just made myself one of these today with Lolth in it. Been working so far, Narfi was too slow in my version, but Meathook Massacre is fantastic with decay.

Since you're running almost as many non-token as tokens you're generating, you might want to run something like "Rise of the Dread Marn" to punish with those field wipes. Feign Death might even be useful for some fun tricks with corpse cobble, or even dread marn with corpse cobble to bring the big boi and a bunch of little bois. Like the deck though bro!

This is great! I was trying to make a zombie deck, but it wasn't that great. This helps quite a bit! I'm running meathook with it as I like the idea of making a ton of zombie tokens, then using meathook to do it's thing.

My version runs Acererak the zombie lich for the Champion and is just black. The tokens decaying also trigger Deathpriest skeleton which can be used to chump block. Got rid of Wight but with the graveyard meta, I may put it back in. Teferi's sacrifice is also quite interesting if you time it after two decaying zombies.

Been running poppy stitcher with 4 flip the switch and 4 startle and it's been AMAZING. Falcon abomination has been decent as well, but i'm not sure i need it? comes in handy with champion though.

Man thanks for making zombies on the first day of IMH!! I'm excited to see the variations people come up with. My first version has the 2 mana zombie priest that you can sac to kill other creatures, specifically flyers.

I like the decayed ability but also think they should of made it easier to make token zombies or also a card that can double zombies, since they are only good once. Or maybe allow them to able to block at least.

Gotta run either the meathook massacre, blood on the snow or skyclave shade to be much more aggressive. This decks seems to be stuck in the middle of two archetypes.

I've been brewing this since the release, it works a lot better as a streamlined aggro deck and a sideboard for control and the lifegain deck.

I played a zombie deck in historic brawl a lot the last days and Wight has probably triggerded once in countless games. That, with the enters tapped thing, made me throw him out. Corpse cobble isn't that good either. Yeah it can create a blocker, like in your case or something alike, but you could also just have a removal, wipe, or anything else that grants greater benefit. Startle is pretty nice btw, as is the Poppet Stitcher/Poppet Factory, when you have some more decayed tokens and to make them non decayed ^^

Yea, I was confused by all the people saying Wight was a great card in this format. It has a rule that encourages it to trade via blocking to get some value out of it, but it comes in tapped lol. Also, 3/2 mean it dies to so many things. Reminds me a bit of Pestilent Spirit -- just a rare that does nothing and dies.

You should test out that four four black rare that whenever opponent creature die, they exile and become decay creatures for you. As well as adding to your decay zombies, it messes up their disturb and other grave thingies

try inscription of ruin, can get you jarad, and adversary and because adversary abbility is an etb you can at 6 mana pay for incription and his etb trigger also its a removal

Can't believe you slept on Poppit Stitcher. With Jadar all those decayed zombies become regular 3/3 zoms (meaning they can block and don't go away).

I've been wondering if there are some good uses for those decayed zombies for uses other than attacking. Like If you could just accumulate a bunch of them and use them a fuel for cards that require: "tap target permanent/creature you control" in order to activate a card effect.

Why no Poppet Stitcher/Factory? Creates Zombie tokens en masse, pumps them to to 3/3s and removes the decayed malus.

@@UsernameXOXO I'm talking about this set. For 5 mana, you could cast a Planeswalker that gets loyalty for each creature that dies. If you have her out and attack with 4 decaying zombies, you can minus 8 right there

Death-Priest of Myrkul should be in this deck, because it's a Zombie lord that can create a Skeleton when another creature on the field dies (as long as you pay 1 to do so).

Full control. Press Ctrl before the attacks are over and you have to check that you wanna end phases and all triggers too

I've played against this deck a couple times now. It struggles to beat white and green aggro. I love those stupid decayed tokens. People spawn them and forget they don't block. I love swinging without worrying about blockers. Easy claps.
