Tuba City located in Coconino County, Arizona and is about an hour away from the entrance to the Grand Canyon. Tuba City is the largest city in the Navajo Reservation with a population of about 8,600 people.
This drive starts in Tuba City, which is in the Painted Desert. It is known for the brightly colored rocks. We will drive south through remote parts of the desert towards Flagstaff, Arizona.
Flagstaff, Arizona is also located in Coconino County, Arizona. The greater metropolitan area of Flagstaff has about 140,000 people. Flagstaff is located on the historic Route 66, and is a popular tourist destination.
