What a sad day. If you’ve ever read any of her books, she just always wanted to help people, especially women. She is a legend, for sure. I can’t imagine how painful this is for her husband. He always seemed to love her so much. Prayers to her family.

Imagine the gull, asking to be paid what the men were getting paid. John Ritter had a huge problem with that, his stance does not age well. Thanks Suzanne, for speaking up, you helped to pave the way for women.

What did John Ritter say?
@r.sanders8448
@r.sanders8448 9 ай бұрын
@@equivalentexchangeisalie5726 It was John Ritter, as well as the producer of the show, that wanted & insisted that Suzanne was to be immediately FIRED from the show after she simply asked for the equal treatment to be paid what all the men on the show were being paid at the time once the show became a huge hit after only just one run during Season 1. The show was a smash hit only BECAUSE of all the talent that both Suzanne and Joyce DeWitt (the lady that played the other roommate) also brought to the show's storylines.... so they both deserved to be paid the exact same wages as JR was being paid for being on that show at the time, too. Which didn't sit well with JR's ego AT ALL... who claimed that all the success for the massive popularity of the show being a huge hit for Three's Company was due solely to only HIM being on the show... so he threatened to quit immediately if Suzanne & Joyce started being paid the same salary that he got after Season 2 of the show. 🤷‍♂️ 🙄🤮🤮🤮

This really big casting director who was one of the biggest casting directors of the time who picked her for Three’s Company said “Alan Hamil (her husband) destroyed that woman’s career. I don’t care what you hear in any of the biographies, Alan Hamil destroyed her career!”
@Lisa-hc3uq
@Lisa-hc3uq 8 ай бұрын
@joeb267382 You're correct. Alan went to negotiate a new contract for Suzanne for Three's Company and returned home with the bad news to Suzanne that they didn't renew her contract. She was out, I think Alan told her. It was then that Alan went to Vegas to plug Suzanne working shows. I think she signed a 2 year deal. Alan wanted a longer a contract. Im beginning to think that Alan was riding Suzanne's coattails. I'm sure they loved each other but Suzanne was the breadwinner in that marriage.
@joeb267382
@joeb267382 8 ай бұрын
@@Lisa-hc3uq I think Alan was totally riding her coattails. It seems like he was always with her because he didn’t want to let her out of his sight. She didn’t really have a lot of career options so she was probably happy to have unlimited attention from him. I think she would have had a real career and worked a lot more in tv and maybe even movies if she hadn’t been fired from Three’s Company.
