"Ultimately singleness won't be the most fulfilling if God has marriage for you".... I cannot put into word how much comfort this statement brought. And it came at the most perfect time, when I so needed it!

Being single is difficult and lonely but it's better than being with the wrong person who takes from your life instead of adding to it. When I'm single I tend to thrive. I have a habit of losing myself when I get in relationships. Until I learn balance, I need to stay single.

How do you learn to have balance with a person while not in relationship? I ask that genuinely. 🙏🏾🙂 I’ve come to learn that Abba Father uses people to grow us. Though I’ve been single for sometime I believe once I get in relationship things I’ve learned I’ll have to put into practice and I’ll learn that either I’m good in that area or more growth will need to take place.

He knows our wants & desires. Hold onto these promises! “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly” psalm 84:11. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” Matt 6:33. Gods word is not empty but are promises waiting to be picked up by faith. For the Christian it’s not how but when. So be patient with him as he has been patient with you. Amen 🙂

"afraid to hope again" that hit me. I try to glorify singleness bc I've never had a Jesus-loving boyfriend and I feel like no christian man wants me. Therefore, there is a lot of frustration bc of the feeling that it will never happen

If you are still young, Nora Maria, you will probably eventually find your Christian man. If you are older (40+) it's less likely but still possible. Then again the answer may be no. Some people are not chosen for marriage!

I am divorced now, and newly single again. When I was single prior to marriage I was full of lust and wanted sex because I was an addict. I found it difficult to date or even be friends with women, because I lusting continuously. I was watching inappropriate material more and more. I finally found a wife, but after several years of being inattentive and ignoring the children she asked me to leave. I am now in recovery from my addictions, but not sure if the marriage can be reconciled. The thing I had made an idol nearly destroyed me and my family. I now know that for the foreseeable future I will have to be in abstinence and celibacy.

i dont like being single. Husband left in 09, have shared custody of our beautiful son . Its hurt our son in many ways. I tried to be the good wife, went to counselling w husband. He didnt want to remember so many good experiences, had another. Am tired of men being so closed, not very brave in the right ways. Raising son w all my heart, thankful for his life. Its so hard what covid did to "people conversing". Prayed and helped seniiors after a year of ankle pain(from years of making a go of it all). I got mocked by ex doing health care, couldnt really switch careers. It was terrible, son was kept away ( i didnt trust the health agenda). Son returmed. Loved him through the hardest time, attended church and kept faith. Now son has got so depressed, cant cope with any real strain bc of covid. He s gone to dads and Im praying he can return. The virus damaged the hope, plans to learn, interact as teens ought to. Praying God restores our spirit. Its lonely, i truly cant see any husband with all the chaos. Content to have shelter, food, little chats w believers. They have families, there isnt invites to go visit. i put u tube ministry on, need to hear hope, keep faith.

Sometimes I wonder the area of relationships isn’t a priority for God in regards to myself. Like maybe service and purpose and bigger destinies are more important than something silly as love. Just a thought I’ve had since no doors are opening in this area for me. Maybe it’s not important enough or maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Thank you so much for this - I've become so disappointed and bitter as a single person that I no longer even know what kind of husband I desire (if at all) and dating/marriage has become so undesirable to me. I'm still praying for healing, for forgiveness for my hard heart and a stronger trust in the Lord (more than me getting a husband), and your video really encouraged me to keep trusting Him because He already knows what is best for us.

Hmmm some good points for sure. I'm someone who isn't seeking a relationship and sometimes I wonder if this is more a case of me actively standing in opposition to this or if this is God's will for me. I'm unsure to be honest. I have always felt that God has a mission for me to complete in this life and Im on the path to get this done, which is an adventure. Paul talked about a single person being in a better position to do God's work in this world. He also said the person who marries does well but the person who doesnt marry does even better. The time and energy I have to complete the mission God has given me is something I would not have if I was married, theres no doubt about it. And Im perfectly willing to give up wife, children, mother father, houses, everything for the kingdom of God. That said, I grew up in a family where my parents got divorced and the marriage I saw first hand was not good, it was horrendous in fact. So I have to be honest and ask if the way I live is a reaction to that or if it is indeed God's will for me. But anyway, some good points in your video, thanks for that.

One of the reasons I do not put marriage or other relationships on a pedestal is because I have spent time investing in relationships and serving others. I have also hidden in my heart the things I have seen and heard about marriage- Things that other people happily ignore. It disturbs me that so many people make haphazard decisions for their lives based out of desperation or solely on "nice feelings" at the start. Marriage is work and it is death... To self. Two people coming together with the goal of dying to self is one thing. Two people coming together with all kinds of unrealistic expectations and desires for someone else to solve all their issues is another thing (Even one person like this in a marriage makes things more difficult than they have to be). I have experienced people in friendships, dating relationships, "Christian" community/fellowship, etc. and have found that absolutely nothing comes close to the fellowship I have with God through Jesus Christ. If God brings likeminded people in my life then I will happily embrace them, however, nothing will come before God being first in my life.

I don’t believe for a moment that the average young Christian who thinks singleness is something great will think the same thing if their singleness persists into their forties or older. I’m in my fifties and never married and no children I can guarantee for most an increasing suffering from your unfulfilled desire for a spouse and suffering from a largely uncaring church on this issue. Take finding a spouse seriously in your twenties or you’ll regret it.

What about someone who left a marriage due to physical verbal and emotional DV. I am legally still married though I have been separated for 13 YEARS! This is due to a lot of reasons, one being that i am afraid of divorcing- although my ex-husband and I were in relationships after our separations anyway , however, now i am really trying to live as a Christian woman. I am scared that I will never be able to find true love again-love that God will approve of-and it makes me SO SAD! I never wouldve left my marriage if it were not for the DV and I tried to salvage it but it didnt work. I am 44 and would love to find a lovely Christian God fearing man to have as a partner. Or, due to scripture, am I now going to have to accept the fact that i will be alone if i want to be in good standing with Jesus

Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and resurrected on the third day according to the scriptures. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God bless everyone in Jesus Christ name.
