Hey, thank you for playing my map, I'm really glad I got lucky enough into the first 20, and I'm happy you actually enjoyes my semi-shitpost of a map. I've read some of the comments here and I understand why not everyone likes this map, and I would apologise for hurting everyone's eyes, but uh... quite frankly I'm just not at all sorry, lmao. One thing I should probably add, though, is why there is a sector in the final room that's completely surrounded with sound blocking lines. It's actually pretty simple: _I legit forgot that the ambush flag existed._ But honestly that's not the only thing I would have done differently if I were to make something like this again, from playing this map a couple times myself and seeing some playthroughs I've started to really hate how there is absolutely no resource balance and the player is completely showered in ammo and powerups. Anyways, don't forget to subscribe to Dwars. And Korendian199, because he also made a really awesome playthrough of this map, and also Stuart Rynn, who made the amazing music piece for the map. Also I really should mention Anarki, who gets very little credit for working on this map, but he made all the textures for me to play with, and argentumiss, who was the person to have the idea of a fireblu-only map and who's actually the one Anarki was originally making all these textures for.

I never thought my eyes would be relieved at the sight of invulnerability.

I hope this gets a Cacoward. It's actually a pretty great map with a hilarious gimmick.

Most of these so-called FIREBLU textures aren't pulsating like the true canonical FIREBLU pulsates. More like "FAKE"BLU!

To everyone who has had their eyes burnt by the fireblu, just know that the creator could have put light amp goggles in a lot of places where the player would be forced to pick them up

I feel like this entire map was made as a response to Civvie commenting on how bad he thought the one random fireblu building was.

If Willy W can make a map that's stylistically comparable to Ribbiks' work using only fireblue-spiked textures and lighting effects, I'd say he deserves a higher title than Ribbiks' apprentice. Good stuff!

That was one terrifying final boss. I'm not sure how you can even make that ! Such a powerful foe, even Decino feared it.. it's near unbelievable you were able to beat that monster without cells !

I found out about this map from Stewboy's KZfaq channel, cause he posted the song he made for it on it. I then checked out the Doomworld page on it, and thought it looked really cool. I've always liked the fireblu texture unironically, so I thought it was a neat gimmick. I haven't played it though, and must have forgotten it was going to be submitted to you, so when I saw the thumbnail for this vid, I got really excited! After watching, I can say this map is pretty awesome. Definitely Ribbiks-styled with some awesome architectural design. I thought the Archvile room in Sunlust Map29 was cool, but this map's version of it I think may be cooler. The fact that you're responsible for controlling the walls adds a little bit more resource management that adds to the stress. Doesn't look as tough as Sunlust's hardest, but it's definitely a fair challenge. Fantastic work, Willy!

Right I've finally finished the video had to pause it for a while as I needed to walk the wife to work but that aside this was really cool really enjoyed the effects with the moving light's the way the arch viles were used yeah definitely a good map and good design that final fight with what looked like a fortress with the imps coming out of that was pretty epic I can see that part being overwhelming if you don't do it right. Also I can see some part's of it being a little tricky throughout the map if I was playing it myself but all in all it didn't look that hard this map actually if anything looks really fun to play but yeah really enjoyed it so cheers for the upload and look forward to seeing more.

XD After save-scumming my way desperately through this map (and ending up having to iddqd through the hell knight wave of the archvile wall-raising room after spending like an hour bashing my head against a wall... no pun intended) I was really not believing that this could be single-segmented... but of course Decino makes it look easy. I mean, he made it sound easy, I can't speak for how it looks, as my eyes are bleeding fireblu. (I also managed to hit the switch that opened the megasphere secret near the start completely by accident - never even knew it was there until Willy saw me jump into the secret and get the megasphere straightaway and "That shouldn't have been open to you!") Very enjoyable, fantastic work to both of you.

This map looks totally awesome and I enjoyed the playthrough! I'm definitely gonna play it at some point!

My eyes can’t take the colourfulness I had to wear my sunglasses watching this video.

This map is so good. It’s a bit like DOOM in the sense that DOOM is great because of its limitations: using only fireflu textures forces the mapper to be so much more creative with their art design. The bouncing light textures look particularly awesome!

That final enemy could have ruined the entire run! Lol you had me there decino, nice one XD Aside from the eyes hurting from all this blue and red color, this was very fun to watch, brilliant design as you said, very well made fights and gimmicks with the archviles. One of the best of all submissions so far.

The hotel I go whenever I go to Shanghai is the Shangri-La. But there isn’t any Fireblu walls that destroys your eyesight....

This level: Exists KZfaq compression algorithm: *thanks I hate it* On the other hand, when the red and blue pixels melded I could see some way cool shades of pink, magenta and purple. It added to the psychedelic feel. I must say the design is to be applauded. The barricade room in particular poses a psychological threat and doesn't have to rely on large amounts of monsters, just enough to bodyblock the careless player. And it didn't overuse the PEs, the undisputed champions of bodyblocking. That last little zombieman was a barrel of laughs 😂 It's not unreasonable to expect a DeHackEd abomination after the whole level, just to elevate the shitpost further. Definitely a decino-worthy submission. Let's see the others.

I thought this map was going to be a complete shitpost, was pleasantly surprised and amused that it was actually quite good.

After the initial color shock I actually didn't much think of it for the rest of the video. Such a good level.

i've only seen fireblu texture in ep 3 of doom 1 and last hell levels of doom 2... so in these case, the fireblu texture are rare in og doom maps... but having a map only textured by fireblu, and it's not shit looking, but actually great, is actually worthy of appreciation. Willy Wanker, you did it. and also, sandy's levels suck, romero is a freaking god, eviternity is masterpiece of a wad mappack, decino, we need more blind runs dammit... plutonia is the best slaughter wad, and tnt is a long boring hallway walking simulator 1996, and F#&KING SUBSCRIBE TO DECINO, and dwars too, he's also a very cool guy.

I appreciate that the level makes my eyes bleed, it heightens all my other senses like Daredevil

This was a good thing to wake up to. And so far the video seems fine I'm currently watching on my phone but that has a decent size screen only thing is which isn't too bad is it's a little dark but not to the point where you can't see nothing so it's all good. Only a quarter of the way through the video so I'll edit or add to the comment at the end.

I'm gonna agree with this guy on one point - I like TNT more than Plutonia as well. Man, so much FIREBLU... I love it, but for a moment I'm gonna have an overdose. Only after unsuccessful try of creating HL1 Anomalous Materials entrance in Doom I started to appreciate some things that mappers do. A floor from room with revenants on 10-th minute is one such thing. So exquisite, so beautifully made.

You may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like. The music from Sunlust's map 28 would be really fitting here, imo. Also I'm glad I didn't watch this at night.

Jokes aside, yeah I can see some of the nice looking details of this map, especially those pulsating effects, and that Arch-Vile fight where you hide behind temporary walls looked challenging in a fulfilling way. And seeing you strategically beat this map is as entertaining as always. (Also, will you ever be covering Touhou Doom? Cause one, I'm a Touhou fan, and two it's pretty well done in a way that you don't need to be an actual Touhou fan to fully enjoy it. And I'd like to see how you handle the boss fights in it, they offer a pretty good challenge.)
