I got interested in them cause if The Sting, great cardistry scene with Newman's character and some great poker scenes with the fan back deck. Fun fact, Tally-Ho! was also picked up by the RAF in WWII as a radio code signalling that they'd spotted or were about to engage enemy aircraft, and we Brits also had a submarine named HMS Tally-Ho that sank a bunch of Japanese ships including a cruiser, as well as a German U-boat, and after the war became the second submarine to complete a voyage from Bermuda to the UK entirely underwater for the three week journey.

Just bought red and blue circle and fan backs plus a matching Gaff deck .The circles are my favourite back design and even love the tuck cases on these beauties.I think I'll pick up some colour variations next .Cheers for the great review .

I got a deck of Tally-Hos and a deck of Bicycle guardians. Both brand new and the Tally-Hos are noticably stiffer, to the point that I struggle to even do a riffle shuffle. That being said I suspect the Tally-Hos will last a lot longer

I believe the fan back has the same feel as bikes, but the circle back lasts longer, they do in fact handle better, I compared them myself and they feel amazing

magicorthodoxy there different versions the theory 11 tallys are standart but the originsl tallys has a stock thats a bit different

I agree that all modern US made USPCC handle good and in general that's enough info. But some card nuts (like me) like the subtle differences highlighted. For instance, I'm no expert but isn't there: Smooth finish, Air Cushion finish, and Magic finish. These can be combined with Bicycle stock, Bee Casino stock, or Aristocrat stock. Again, they all handle good, but the subtle differences are where it's at.

There is one card stock - bee stock is just a non-flattened version of the rider back stock. (same roll of paper) and there is one finish. Air cushion. Otherwise you can get a "smooth" finish which is the same card stock without the "waffle pattern" rollers pressed into it. So you could say there is 2 "thicknesses" casino and regular and 2 textures (embossed or non)

@@magicorthodoxy I did some more digging too and it looks like they say that it is just Air Cushion Finish on top of the card. I just love the design of the old Hoyle shell backs though as those were the decks my father used for his card magic. Appreciate you. Thanks.

Although, newer releases like the Flying Machine and Chainless deck feel closer to that awesome Ohio feel. I'd like to think that USPCC is working on getting that feel back!

My gaff deck v2 for my Tally Ho s arrived today .The cards are all gorgeous and a great addition to my rapidly growing collection but is there a source you can recommend for learning tricks with these ?I'd prefer a download to a book .

Hi whats the diffrence between the black seals tally hos n the red seals tally ho? As i believe the black seals tally hos is crappier than the one wif red seals . Help me in this.

Blue seal came from the USPCC Ohio plant. Black seals are from the plant in Erlanger, Kentucky.

I don't know why, but I can feel a huge difference between the Tally Ho and the Bicycle standard. For some reason, I find the Tally Ho way easier to handle than the Bicycle, and also they fell a tiny bit lighter.

Juan José Fonseca Godoy well it's all the same stock and finish, although Talls are done with a higher quality control, so the sides and edges are usually a little bit more refined.

made by the same company on the same paper - only the back design is different. Nobody can tell you what decks are "better" you need to grab a few decks and find the paper and brand that YOU like the best. Everyone likes different things.

Blue seals are made in Cincinnati so they are better quality and rare

feel better than rider backs "off the shelf" but that's due to the Q1 controls at USPCC - feel the "same" as a custom deck

I think we all (myself included) believe the "hype" that we are sold by the marketing executives - and then because we believe it, we "see" it.

If tally and the bicycle standard have the same paper stock...why my tally(fan back) feel a lot stiffer than the standard one...?

The card stock "starts off" the same. But then ink is added and the paper is run through steel rollers and crushed. Depending on the measurements the rollers are "that day and that time" will determine how thick the cards are - also USPCC now adds a clear magic finish to their cards. So everything that is 'added' and 'taken away' makes the cards thicker or thinner

What about Ellusionist decks, how do they handle?

Ellusionist decks are made by Bicycle, same with D & D, same with Blue Crown, same with Theory 11

REALLY! I thought they had their own factory. What about the Bicycle masters deck? Is the same handling as Ellusionist claims it is? Does it last 7 times more than standard Bicycles?

Well Masters are discontinued, you can't get them anymore, but they were rider bike cards printed on Bee "Casino stock" - so a thicker card

I felt the stock of tally ho to be thinner than standard bikes. I took 2 cards off each and tried tossing in the air and moving up and down against the air. The tally ho definitely felt lighter. Could it be that the thickness of the retail stock vary ? Sometimes on different bikes too? Also, clearly the other decks of uspcc like theory 11 archangels also felt thicker than the tally ho

tally ho is an unlimited run ... so each new run will feel different ... all USPCC decks vary yes - they are not consistent at all

You are quite wrong, Tally Ho's split in cleaner packets then norml bikes. And Aladdin's smooth finish is a diffrent finish, and bee diamond backs are diffrent, both are from the USPCC

MixxedMeFunny98 Bicycle has 1 paper source and they print at two thicknesses, retail and casino. They also have 2 embossings, air cushion and smooth. Watch my video on cut and finish and you'll get all the info

I have an old tally ho and I don't feel an aircushion on it but my new one sucks its so thin and its similar to an air cushion finish

I beg to differ about handling. I do table faros (on the table, not a mat) and there is a definite difference between Bees and Standard Bikes. (Bees handle better for me, maybe Bikes work better for others - but there is a difference.) I intend to do some research on Rider Backs and Tally-Hos. Regardless of all that, I appreciate your reviews.

Well back in the day BEE were much thicker - now the variable is so negligible you can't even tell. But it's all the same paper and finish.

I got a tally ho fan back, I wanna ask, are the sides of the cards being rough normal? Plus i did not get a guarantee joker card, instead i got another similar joker but in black n white. Do these features somehow make it fake or is this just normal?

Their site sells cards from bicycle to virts cards, they even do giveaways so I believe they sell real USPCC cards.

magicorthodoxy sorry for the bother but I just got my tally-ho’s and they look fine but when I was looking on KZfaq, they were different, my Ace Of spades is different, diffrent writing in the bottom, idk if that’s normal, and I also got 2 jokers, I read that your only suppose to receive 1 with color and be other card should be text, mines are 1 color and one without, I’m very concerned,
