Hi, thanks for sharing your build & design. We're planning on doing the same to our deck, buying all the wood today. How did you connect the main frame pieces to each other? We were thinking of that metal plating you can just hammer into wood. But it doesn't look like you used any brackets/plates/etc. to bond them.

Andrew M. Good luck with your project! I built my deck as one continuous frame with 4x4 support pillars. I used joist hangers for all the hoist, but just tied the frame together at the posts. I basically broke it up into rectangles and triangles and had posts supporting the corners. Hope that helps

@@PursuitofHappiness Thanks for replying! I think you thought I meant the frame for the deck. We're building the lattice cover, for our deck! The four pieces of wood you use to create the framed lattice pieces is what we're trying to replicate. Let me know if that makes any sense, I struggle to explain things.

Andrew M. I understand now. Lol. I used HeadLok structural wood screws in the corners on each panel and attached them directly to the pool deck. I put pressure treated 2x4’s along the bottom to create a frame for me to attach the lattice panels. It worked very well and is still as solid as day one. Let me know if you have any more questions.

@@PursuitofHappiness The panels themselves. I saw how you nail gunned the lattice to the back of the 'frame' but I'm curious about just creating that frame. And how you initially bonded those 2x6s. Before you then go and nailgun the lattice on the back side.

Andrew M. I used exterior wood glue and Kreig Jig pocket hole screws to put those together.

nice family! Some advice for your next video : Editing is your friend!! Do your best to cut out anything not essential to what the title indicates..... Narrate your next video instead of explaining every never ending detail....it gets truly tedious to watch someone teach someone something who doesnt wanna be there.... peace brother!
