Decluttering My Makeup Collection! Primers & Foundations ✨

Hi everyone! Welcome to my declutter week!! I'm so excited to declutter my makeup collection with you. First up, primers & foundations! I planned to share this declutter all in one video, but quickly realized I have too much makeup (& talk too much about it) to put everything in one video lol! I'll be sharing a new declutter every day this week. I hope you're excited! I will be adding any new or barely used makeup to my Poshmark throughout the week. I'll link it below!
A quick intro to my mindset with this declutter. I love makeup so much that I'll never be a makeup minimalist, BUT I do want to curate my collection as much as possible. Basically, I want to be EXCITED to use everything in my collection. If I'm not excited or don't have an intense desire to start using something, it needs to go! This wasn't easy, but I'm so excited for the end result!

This was great. Shade match makes a big difference in how I rate a foundation even when I don’t realize it. I have one medium to full coverage foundation I don’t wear often but I like to have it in case I need it. I wish I could get samples of every foundation out there because I enjoy trying them so much. Can’t wait for part two!

If shade is a problem, I would suggest in getting L.A girls foundation pigments, I have the blue one to make all my foundations cooler, white to lighten and brown to darken. You can get yellow too if you’re more olive or red etc. saves me a lot money rather than getting many foundation shades, considering if you’re white especially, you would need a winter and summer shades.

When I saw your poll last week, I kept waiting for the declutter video-excited to hear it’s a declutter week!!! You did awesome with your primers and foundations! My take is that it’s your face, and it’s up to you what you put on it, what makes you feel beautiful. Don’t feel bad at all about getting rid of products that don’t work for you (be it color or formula or fragrance or expired). Foundation has always been a struggle for me, finding the right tone (I’m fair olive), as well as formula (super dry skin). Mostly, it’s hard for me to find one that *stays* looking good. My favorites right now are ABH luminous foundation, Clinique beyond perfecting foundation/concealer, Chanel water fresh tint and Mac face and body (but I hate using my hands, too 😖). But I’ve probably tried over 25 foundations to find these, so I get it! It’s a process finding your loves ☺️.

I’ve always wanted to try Chanel foundation! I’ve never known which one to try, I feel like they have so many options!

@@simplyblair I know! There are so many from Chanel! This is the first one I’ve tried, I actually probably won’t try others. I think it’s this specific type of formula (thin) that is what works so well for my skin. It comes with its own little brush, so you might like it! It’s definitely minimal coverage, but it wears so well, with just a dab of concealer on my areas of redness, I love the finished result all day. I got the lightest shade and for now it’s definitely too light, which is a bummer, but doable with bronzer. Chanel at Ulta has not been good for my wallet, I’ll say that! 🙃

@@simplyblair I just tried a sample from N1 de Chanel at Ulta and it's so natural looking. It does have a slight fragrance but more soothing versus perfume like Dior. Highly recommend to try it. It's expensive but I plan on using my Ulta points which makes it worth it.

Quick question, I also have some makeup I would love to get rid of but I feel bad throwing it out if there’s still a lot of product and not old. By “get rid of” so you just toss them or donate, if so is there a specific place or just friends and family?
