I keep gift cards too. I end up with a huge pile (like you) and then I will go out on a HUGE shopping spree. I do it about once a year and have a BALL. I bounce from store to store, using the cards I have. I eat lunch out and get my coffee out. It is so much fun. I save them intentionally for my ME DAY That dress looks adorable on you

I declutter one area of a room at a time. That way I don't get too overwhelmed by tons of things. Also don't risk running out of time to go through everything.

I always get excited whenever you do a decluttering video because of your personality!.. I loved both your swimsuit and tropical print dress! (Oh to be young again and look great in clothes!). One thing I'd do is move your craft boxes into the walk in closet because they take away from the nice looking room!

I know it's not visually appealing but my grandparents always had a filing cabinet for all the paper work. And it worked well for them. Plus that way you can't loose the folder.

You can add the gift cards to your apps. Like you can put the target gift card straight onto your target app and use it to pay straight from the app. And you can get rid of the card. It stores it there for you. You can even use it to pay in the store trough the target wallet

I've never had a gift card problem they have always been used almost immediately! But I have an idea, (take it or leave it) how about donating the extra cards to a women's shelter.

I love watching these videos because they are super realistic. This is how many of my rooms look like (been working on it though and my main level looks a lot better) and sometimes I would hate watching cleaning or decluttering videos because their house already looks perfect.

I enjoy watching you, it gives me motivation!! I have the same problem with gift cards, so I purchased a clear makeup bag and keep it in my purse. The clear bag helps me see what I have. Hopefully that helps! Thank you for motivating me!!! ❤️

A suggestion I found on KZfaq is to put your donate items in a cardboard/disposable box so you don't have to touch items twice and risk changing your mind. Your videos are inspiring.

I just wanted to let you know there's a wallet app for your phone, you can electronically store your gift cards in. It will save your wallet if you don't need the physical card. Just scan the bar code on the phone

who else just learned how to pronounce Chicco? also, I keep one of those small accordion file folders in my car with all the gift cards that need to be used up. otherwise I never have them when I need them due feb 8th with an aquarius baby :)

First of all, thank you so much for keeping it real! It's nice to know others are out there that experience the same struggles! It helps seeing your videos... they get and keep me motivated! Second of all, I don't think I have an Instagram, I'm a little tech and social media illiterate, but my "step son" and his girlfriend are expecting their 2nd child, 1st boy though to carry on his dad's family's name. Great job!! For paper clutter in my house I have three main areas : paper drawer in kitchen (where I place "to do" papers that I do within the next week, when the drawer space gets full I know I have to get that ish done) 2) a caddy in my office upstairs where stuff goes that I'll only need for the next few weeks/months. I also have a caddy next to it for "to file" 3) when I get around to filing the "to file" it's the long term stuff in fire safe file folders/tax stufd

I just had a baby 11 weeks early! She was born on 4/16 and spent 6 weeks in the NICU! She’s home, happy and healthy!

I don't know how you all cope in Texas. In the UK it's 31C (88F) and because we don't have home air conditioning it's just unbearable. I'm hardly functioning and you're doing awesome decluttering and organisation! I wish I had the energy at the moment.

I have for several years now have been using over the door shoe organizer. It has 12 smaller pockets with 6 larger pockets. The smaller is 1 per month, larger for misc stuff like insurance info ..not monthly billing statements.. Every time i get bank or credit card statement receipts or whatever ever you think you need for monthly budget has a quick easy pocket to put it away until you are ready to process that months budget.. no more lost papers

I add any gift cards directly to my apps/accounts to be used immediately then I trash the cards that way I never lose any cards and don’t weigh my wallet down. Great video. Thanks for sharing. ❤️

I accumulate a little pile of papers, etc. and scan it all onto my computer so I can officially get rid of everything. I name them and back them up, and then shred the pile with private info and throw the rest away 😄 it's time consuming in the beginning but as long as you do it once a month after, it's a great process.

When I bring in mail I IMMEDIATELY recycle the ads/bs mail…don’t want it sitting in my house & there’s so much everyday!! Then I take important bills/papers & put in folder at my desk(to be paid or to be filed) & lastly put any catalogs that I want to review or ck out in a folder in kitchen. :) Love the gift card wk idea!!! Also if u have cards from random stores u don’t have nearby or like u can swap them online for other cards or just get paid for them. 👍🏻 AWESOME JOB ON UR OFFICE!!🙏🏻

You can load the Amazon cards onto your account. Then set it as your default payment until they are used up. If the place has an app (Starbucks, etc), you can load them up on it.

We have a fire box with file folders in it, one labeled for each member of the household and one for the pets to share, then another for each account and loan (home, credit cards, etc). It stays locked and in a private location.

For your mom's stuff you can go to a thrift store and buy either a childrens dresser or a side table and use that to store her things. That way she's not living out of a bag. You can both pick it out or pick it out, refinish it and then surprise her. Since its so small, it will be small enough to stay in the closet so won't take up a lot of floor space.

I have a bigger mess, where I have a library, craft stuff, tincture, infuse oils, and dried herbs, 3 filling cabinets, paper clutter (my biggest challenge 😱) and a pantry. I tackle some of my clutters, then someone's come and need to pushed everything that doesn't belong to my Living room and it gets worse.

You can donate unused gift cards for stores that sell groceries to your local food bank. They can use them to purchase food for their clients.

Wow awesome declutter !!! I was happy to see that you've brought a trash can in your room so we would see you tossing things that can't be donated since it's by far the hardest things for me to declutter (mostly for the clothes or magazines), but the trash can was out of the camera for 99.9% of the video except when you've emptied it at a super mega fast foward speed :P I've wished to see a little bit more what went where, but I understand you've had so much to do and that the room was so messy at some point that it must have been hard to find good camera angles.

I purchased the freedom filer system for papers. I just have to set it up but basically it breaks thing down into files that are permanent and the there are some items that you only need to keep for a couple of years and then you can shread them. Look it up, I'm not explaining it the best. You can also search it on KZfaq.

I use 3 ring binder with clear sleeve 1 per month and 1 sleeve for tax paper at end of year I get yellow envelope for anything I keep audits only put the year it's for papers in 1 spot
