I'm really enjoying your channel. Living in Somerset so not far away, I've been dabbling with glass for a while and doing exactly what you say about asking questions and generally handling glass as much as possible to learn more, I'm now in possession of several pieces including custard cups, what I do with them is another matter!, I think mine range from early to late 19th century. I may have one that's a little older that one I'm less confident of, the glass is greyish tone. I started in architectural antiques but that was years ago , I'm trying to refresh my knowledge and start dealing after a few years away , the glass is an area I'm most interested in. I like old glass but really anything that catches my eye. . ☺️

As always, very informative! - I must say, I always look at the millions of glasses and decanters etc in Charity Shops and I always wonder if I'm looking at any worth £1000s haha.

Have you ever used a UV torch / black light on you glasses? I bought one for looking at amber etc. I bought a dinking glass in an op shop in Australia today… it has a very sharp pontil. Under that torch the clear glass has a strong unit colour tinge. Just stating to research, could be due to manganese content? Which stopped in 1915? My discovery of the day. Anyway, may or may not be useful. I am loving your videos.

Good. I have seen some later 19th /20th century glasses with conical & folded feet but they were pressed/moulded glass, so, as you say, feet are just one aspect of identification.
