This is just a short, fast-motion video showing how I took a plain (well, with polka dots!) binder and added some scraps of vintage fabrics to it, to dress it up a little! You can certainly use new fabric scraps!
I made this binder to keep track of materials for a class I am taking. It's helping me feel much more creatively inspired, which is important for the class I'm taking! :D
All you need to do this fun little project is:
* a binder (mine is an older Martha Stewart for Staples brand)
* 1-inch wide double-sided tape (I love this brand: amzn.to/3xWqZSt) (affiliate link)
* a piece of Tyvek paper (cut to whatever size you like!) (Tyvek paper can be found on Amazon: amzn.to/3bh6y8Q (affiliate link)
* fabric scraps and trims
Instructions:
* measure and cut Tyvek to fit your binder
* add strips of double sided tape to back of Tyvek
* peel off backing from tape
* apply Tyvek to binder, smoothing and wrapping from front to back
* add strips of double sided tape to Tyvek on front ONLY
* peel off backing from tape
* add fabric scraps to front
* add a strip of double sided tape (or more strips if using narrower tape) to the spine
* smooth fabrics from the front to wrap around onto the spine
* add strips of double sided tape to back cover Tyvek
* peel off backing from tape
* add fabric scraps to back
Let me know if you have any questions!! Happy crafting!! xoxo Amy :)
