My sister is an artist who works in oils, and she told me that cheap white bread gently rubbed over the surface of oil paintings lifts away soot, dirt, etc in a safe way. You may need to go over the painting a few times and you need to keep changing the bread as you see it get dirty and/or it just shreds up. At the end use the air-cans for computers to blow away any minute residue. I hope this helps.

I'll be 61 this year & everything changes skin , hair, eyelashes ECT lol but I have been doing alot of research for more natural ways. Two words Word castor oil. Research the benefits it's amazing. I agree with kathyarcadi2. The 2 pictures need to move to the left just a bit to center between the tv and curtains. I would say they need to come down closer to the chair as well. Don’t be afraid to hang your art a little lower on the wall. I love the blue chair in the room - it coordinates with the shams. The mirror is perfect on that wall across from your bed along with the art. Gorgeous! The bed refresh is very pretty. The shams look very comfy and soft. They look great with the white spread. Angle the dresser with the tv into the corner. Then the one stud would be centered. Then hang the mirror there. The 4 pictures didn't work I think because the drapery blocked part of the view and it looked like the artwork too. Screw D ring hangers on each side of the wood on the back of the mirror and then you can hit the stud at least on one side maybe even both sides if mirror back is wide enough . If it’s not wide enough then you can use a toggle bolt on other side. I do this all the time, and I’ve never had any issues. As long as you can hit the stud on at least one sign of a very heavy piece and then toggle the other. You’re good to go. Hope this helps.😊The pics and the chair look nice in that space. You could also angle the dresser a bit too. I’m just giving you my two cents worth but go with your gut because you have beautiful, taste and style and just do what you love. It will turn out great your stuff always does.

A darker blue wall color would definitely make those gold drapes pop. A very luxurious combo. Love this episode! If you want to do even more for hair growth make yourself a rosemary rinse. Cut a few springs put in pot, bring to boil then let cool. Strain and put in bottle and store in fridge- lasts about two weeks before you need to make new. Use as a rinse on your scalp prior to showering. Works on hair growth stimulation.

Love the changes you made to your bedroom. They added a freshness to an already lovely room! The choice to use 2 pictures instead of the original 4 was well thought out. Sometimes you have to try and fail before your vision finally works! The blue naked lady vase was made by the USONA Art Pottery Company in Chester, West Virginia. They were in operation from the mi 1930’s to the mid 1950’s

They have hangers that will work without a stud and hold up to 50 lbs at least. I've used them myself, and they do work. The mirror is beautiful.

Your bedroom grouping question....I think that for that area its too many pictures...also the "thinking angel" - although you love angels and I do too - I see that redone for 5-8.99 EVERYWHERE !!!!! With all of your "special art finds" in your home, I think that is the one that I'd take down or do without - the frame is great - but that inexpensive "too often seen angel" would have to go for me. lol.lol Ok, you asked or opinions...

I love Sea Holly!! When my local art museum has their annual floral show, a lot of florist use Sea Holly in the beautiful arrangements that reflect the paintings.

We JUST redid the living room with a new paint color and moved the art around. Tried MY hand at a gallery wall and had the SAME issues. I think we did ok. While watching this video I was pleasantly surprised to see you do what I would have done in the space. Love the final layout for the art.

I began using the cotton quits like you got and put a colorful blanket or old quilt at the end of the bed, too. Lovecthe eleganymt simplicity of the cotton quilt without the overstuffed, muticolored comforters. And, the cotton is really comfy in all seasons. Just add a warm vintage quilt or blanket in colder weather. ❤i live in Florida...so, a cotton makes sense!

Between TV on chest and window I'd use a candle table or victorian plant pedestal with a live trailing plant contained in a complimentary chinoiserie jardiniere. Then add art above that - as many as it takes for desired height.

I have the coverlets and I love them. Pronounced Mat a lace. Everything you do is gorgeous!! The smaller prints look great. I love the TV in a frame look. Not expensive. Another way to clean oil paintings gently is use the product you use on your computer keyboard. It is a type of gelatin that works so well. Do not press to hard especially on old paintings. Your bedroom looks so romantic and is absolutely beautiful.

Try using museum putty or fun putty tac…. There’s many brands, It basically is a little putty piece that you use to put under your ceramic pieces so they don’t get knocked over. I do that with a few of my family vintage pieces so my cat doesn’t knock it over and break it. Works well. It also can be used to stick a small piece behind the edge of a picture frame to keep it straight so it doesn’t move.

Matelesssé is pronounced matuh lah sey. I have a quilt similar to yours and the matching shams. When I am making the bed I do use pillows with the shams to complete the finished look of the bed, and put the pillows that match the sheets behind the pillows with shams. Shams are meant to be decorative.

I just found you yesterday and have been binge watching as I'm laying in bed suffering with shingles...no fun at all. I am in the middle of creating a book nook at the top of our stairs and now I can't do anything. So watching you has been wonderful to keep my mind off of it. I love those floral pictures in your bedroom. I think what is throwing it off is the TV. The composition of the 4 frames together are too similar to the size of the TV so it visually looks like two squares on the wall. What about using just one (I like the one on the upper left) and beneath it put a narrow table or plant stand with either a plant, vase or piece of pottery? It might balance out the dresser too. Okay, edit: I jumped the gun. You solved it with the two frames and chair. Nice!
