I love the narrative aspect that hits on youtube, a long video can have a beginning middle and end- like watching all the little details of you cleaning the room, not sped up, not only edited for the most interested parts. So we go on the journey together in a more invested way than TikTok. TikTok is sound bites, youtube is story.

I love the fact that Alisha is more of herself now and isn't feeling stressed anymore to create these types of videos. They are actually so entertaining to watch and they honestly motivate me sm to be more productive

I was just thinking about this because someone asked what was my fave social media and it’s KZfaq by far! Just way more personal and I feel way more connected to the creators I subscribe to. It’s the vlogs for me! Tik tok could never with an 18 minute deep clean vlog that is motivating!

I get excited for youtube when my favorites post I get excited to go home after work and watch them and watch them while I eat dinner as well. Where as for tiktok I honestly only go on there if I am genuinely bored or want a good laugh. I agree it's definitely more draining to go on tiktok.

I agree! I can be productive and have KZfaq vlogs playing in the background all day, vs. scrolling on Tiktok for hours. I’m also into longer form content. KZfaq just feels more wholesome 💛

I play KZfaq videos as background noise whenever I’m doing academics if I already played all the podcasts’ episodes I’m subscribed to 🤣 BUT ALSO!! Weekly vlogs are everything to me, especially the talk through ones! They are so therapeutic unlike TikTok where it’s just a clip and a sound and I’m just “oh that’s it?”

I feel like KZfaq is something I can either watch intently or watch at my own leisure when I am cleaning or something, but also want some sort of visual. I feel like KZfaq is more of a safe space for creators and followers too, it feels more intimate. Also LOVED THIS VLOG. I do the same thing of doing a different task instead of the one that needs to get done ASAP too HAHA

i think youtube allows us to see the more real side of influencers where tiktok is a more quick view type of thing. i feel way more connected to you here than i do on tiktok! thanks for always posting your real life issues/getting back into the groove of things. i am personally in a slump rn & genuiently need this type of encouragement!

What i love about youtube is that i can always feel related to the videos and the people I subscribe too but on tiktok i just feel that they are like the old youtube when they used to make us feel like they have the perfect lifestyle. Now i think the youtubers are so much more mature and more relatable and you feel more connected to them. Tiktok is just a trend nothing more to offer

To answer your question about Tik tok vs KZfaq: I think KZfaq it’s really a personalized space for yourself, it’s set up to entertain you but also give you a similar feeling to hanging out with people depending on how creators film. Tik tok on the other hand, is really like fast fashion. Tik tok has categories to watch specific videos, but the content is always about someTHING and not someONE. Basically KZfaq is for the people (creators and watchers) Tik tok is for the content.

just got the motivation to clean my room so thank you!!, I've been in a anxiety cycle, so I struggle with motivation sometimes. Also to answer your question, I agree with what you were saying, KZfaq just allows you to feel more connected to the creator, maybe it's because of the format, or the duration of videos. For instance, I would much rather watch a 30min video about something I'm interested in like a book review, then watching a 3 part small video on Tiktok. And again I feel more productive watching something on youtube, even studying, because I can seek out the type of content I want if that makes sense.

I agree with that person and also I really enjoy the longer form content and I do feel less unproductive the scrolling, I also agree the algorithm is different and I do get more invested and I feel like you get to know people so much better on KZfaq than Tik Tok. 11:46 I totally agree! I honestly never liked tik tok because it’s so easy to get lost in it. With KZfaq I feel like it’s easier to plan how long you’re on it (“I’ll just watch two more vids”). But with TikTok it’s just an endless loop of similar length videos. I can also tell that KZfaq content makes me happier for some reason.

I also think KZfaq is better because you can watch you're favorite creators and still be productive and not have to scroll through as much. I actually got rid of tik tok because it waisted my time. KZfaq is just nice to have on as background noise. Also love the lights!

With KZfaq I can have it on in the background while cleaning, I can relax with it on a sick day. Its full content to sit and pay attention or listen to in the background rather than mindless scrolling. You can't multi-task with tiktok and I'm someone who doesn't love music as motivation, I need videos and voices

You should get a built in wardrobe system built into the gap where your rails are! Glass doors so you can see everything and then a little freestanding rail for you to plan outfits on! Would look so aesthetically pleasing and match your brand/style better, and a lotttt more storage for you!

With KZfaq vs TikTok, I feel like I have a friend in the people I subscribe to on youtube, and I love just playing the youtube videos throughout my day in the background as if I'm ft with them, watching and listening to what they're up to. Whereas TikTok I feel like I go through a rollercoaster of emotions, like one video will be educational, the next will be cute, and then the next is just something so sad & I'm sobbing. Idk it could just be me, but I love the long-form content from the creators I enjoy watching. Anyways, love the deep cleaning vid! & Rosie is soooo cute❤

I agree with that comment you shared, I spend the majority of my 8 hour work day watching youtube on my personal laptop while working on my work laptop. It's perfect entertainment that allows me to still be productive, whereas if I were on tik tok on my phone, that would be the only thing I was doing. Also, I've been watching the same creators on KZfaq for over 10 years at this point and I love that even though I and the creators have grown in the past decade, I still look forward to watching every video. I find with short term content, my interests change a lot and I may only follow someone for a short period of time or watch a couple of their videos, whereas with KZfaq, I've been subscribed to the same people for years and still watch every video because I've truly grown up with these creators!
