We review the new ‪@MilwaukeeTool‬ 2729S Deep Cut Dual Trigger band saw. Running on the M18 FUEL platform delivers brushless motor power that helps this Milwaukee band saw through steel, with ease. The 5-inch depth and 5-inch width capacity is the largest in the industry when it comes to cordless portable band saws. Milwaukee offers the deep cut band saw in the 2729 and the 2729S. This 2729S is the dual trigger model which requires two hands to be on the saw at all times for power to be delivered to the blade.
You can purchase the Milwaukee 2729S-20 Deep Cut Dual Trigger band saw for $399 as a bare tool. The 2729S-22 includes two 5Ah batteries and charger for $649.

At 13:55 there is an actual hand tool welders and fitters use. In Canada we call it a Pipe Wrap or Wrap-a-round .

Seems like you have mastered portable bandsaws to cut straight. I just bought mine and im having a hard time making straight cuts so i'd stick with my chop saw

so trying to decide, for someone that cuts lots of 2 7/8" tubing and occasionally 1" square tubing, is it better to get the compact or the deep cut?

If I remember correctly, "Portaband" was the name of the Porter-Cable unit about 30 years ago, not Milwaukee. Peter Vuicic

A little frustrating at first? Try to use this every day with the dual trigger and I am close to using a regular hack saw. The dual trigger had to have been designed by someone who works at a desk all day every day. I really miss the days on one trigger without safety buttons. Now it physically hurts to use these bandsaws. Horrible design.

It was a little frustrating, but it seems to become logic once you remember which trigger to pull first. I would be more accusatory about it if they didn't have a model that doesn't require the 2nd trigger. This is a feature, if you want to buy it, otherwise you can purchase the regular single-trigger model. Thanks for watching.

IMHO it would be not too difficult to put a zip-tie around the handle to keep the 2nd trigger switch pressed closed, that's what I would do cuz I don't think I'd like that 2nd safety switch either PITA IM2NDHO LOL🤪.

@@jetenginethrust863 I just got mine today (from my company), you can't do that. You have to trigger it in the right order. If you keep your hand held on either trigger while releasing the other, you can't simply start again by pressing the second trigger again, it won't let you. Impossible to bypass... It sucks, I hate it. I want my DeWalt back.

Why would you want to spend 400$ for this if you can get m18 super sawzall for 100$ which does even more? Differently, what this machine does that sawzall doesn’t?

A band saw is much more useful in a metal shop than a sawzall. Making straight and miter cuts in tubing is much easier with a band saw. Love a sawzall too, but you can't take away the band saw. Thanks for watching.

Where you getting a super Sawzall for 100 ?

@@jr739 it was a typo, I meant regular sawzall . However you can get super sawzall for little over 100$ but in used condition.
