I appreciate all you giys that watch and subscribe to my channel... for a dude in a little 3rd stall garage I can not believe how this business has blown up... obviously i am still not taking in any new customers sorry... but that doesnt mean that I take it for granted that you guys watch... I know this channel will be my full time job eventually and then i can do all these wild builds and dedicate to better cameras and equipment so it is more enjoyable and "professional" to watch... but dont think i will ever tame it down... not happening... and with that said....
There are a couple guys out there that i refuse to name that are falsely claiming they do this same hybrid build... one of them has quite a following... Now I had a LOT of expensive learning moments figuring this hybrid build out and I always have to eat humble pie when i fail (just had to do a video yesterday taking a L)... but to just claim you have figured a build like this out WITHOUT ACTUALLY DOING IT... dude really?!?!?! These hybrids are NOT easy to figure out especially when there is zero blueprint for them... I had to deal with the case volume and stuffer... the wrist pin and skirt length on the 660 piston... the saw not idling after it was swapped... and one expensive cylinder I trashed 😬... I would like to know how you solved all these issues... you know... since you also do the 500i/660 build 🤷‍♂️ I'm all ears bud...

I’ve been experimenting with my 500i’s since following your channel and I’m Reeeally looking forward to this series. My biggest issue seems to be the ongoing “4stroking” issue. It only seems to take place when The saw is less loaded. So limbing, scribing, and most small diameter cuts. If there’s any way you could touch on that one I’m sure I won’t be the only one more than grateful. Always appreciate your work John!

I really like the way your saws look....I agree I like those side covers too..I have looked into casting in order to build my own design for covers...I'd like to see what type of tools you work with...I see you don't reply very often...To reply to questions is a good way to grow your channel...I use to watch many of the big saw builders on you tube but they just don't show enough....I like seeing how a saw performs but I tune in to learn more about the build ....I am learning alot about expansion chambers....The few times I've put one on a saw I'd saw it was the single biggest HP gain I've found ....I enjoy your videos I think you do good....I'd say just be different than other saw channels...Reply to comments from time to time and you'll grow bc that would be different ....I hear people say they don't have time to respond but keep in mind ....People take time to comment....if you interact and teach people then you'll form a solid base ....As we know this can lead to you tube being your job...if I wanted to be better than other builders that is where I'd begin....I personally don't comment very often to anyone's videos and no reply is the number one reason

Agreed. Stop taking about the haters or "other guys." It detracts from your message and your content. It makes people want to click on to the next video. This isn't me trying to hate on you. It's honest and constructive feedback because you say you want your channel to blow up. If you just seemed like a blow hard I wouldn't say anything, but you seem like a good guy. Every video of yours has the same comments over and over: "stop worrying about the haters and do you thing." That means stop talking about them. Take the advice.

I really want to build a stuffed crank stroker saw +2 or 3 mm stroke. I build rc truck gas engines some are 18 hp that are only 72 cc. I know i can do something far from never done. I learned so much from rc max 70 engines and alx 71's man the power is off the scale. I want to mount a alx 96 in a saw 😅 it will be brutal. Has to be done. Soon ill be on it. The footprint is small on the engines. Gobs and gobs of power. A Reed case would be cool your probably wondering what the hell im talking about lol. Cool channel i cant wait to see your port work.

I've been asked to do a video on exactly how I do the a 500i/660... stuffer base clearance, piston clearance, skirt shortening, why I turn the 660 for the ring gaps, etc. I run a 105exh... theory behind that is less rpm in hopes that it doesn't 4 stroke as much... does it help? 🤷‍♂️ But, who cares about what others are doing.... we tune-in to see what you are doing.

My husky 181 se just lost a crank bearing after 38 years of hard service ,, had to get new , went with 592 artic package ,, broke it in ripping big beech blocks,, with a 28'' bar with skip tooth chain , this saw will twist it up, probably out cut anything in its class stock, it's inthat MO' BETTER Class 👍

What type of loctite would you recommend for the muffler nuts/bolts on my 390? The nuts keep rattling loose and then the bolt destroys my muffler before I realize it’s loose.

Damn, no more new customers.............one of these baby gorilla 500s is right up my alley! But when you work your ass off and get to the point you don't "have to" turn out x amount of saws to make ends meet, I don't blame you a bit John. No matter what it is a guy or gal does, there's always gonna be some scumbag to knock off and poach your hard work. The thing is the more you advertise for them pointing them out, they still get attention because people want to see what they did to torque you so they get the attention and maybe even a fraction of said people do business with them so it's win-win. Best thing anyone can do is kill em with kindness or just jog on knowing you're the real innovator, karma will catch them eventually when something goes hen shit and they don't know why because they didn't put in the real work and development
