As an American by birth my heart is with India. I have studied under two Sikhs gurus who have taught me so much about life and I am so fortunate to be able to practice and read the words of these 10 masters, especially Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Thats so nice to know that you practice sikhism and even as born American. I need help to bring back one Sikh teenager in Dallas, who adapted Islam due to his muslim friends company where they preached all good things about Islam. And he is ignorant about real Sikhi as he couldn’t find good teacher or preacher.

Sikh religion or philosophy is a magnificent path of knowledge (including self-knowledge), as well as the right course of actions for a common person. As compared to other religions and ideologies, Sikh way of life never demanded any sacrifices (like Judaism and Islam), did not go into idolatry (like Christianity and other), did not call for aggression and conquest - solely for self-defense... The Sikh teaching, like the Buddhist, Zoroastrian and Sufi, are perhaps the only acceptable for all humanity, because they are tolerant and don't lead a person astray from the natural path. As the 10th guru he was a devotee of Shakti ma & took on many pilgrimages across India & he invoked the 5 'k's of the 5 men who sacrificed their lives for Devi ma & as the legend says where brought back to life & became the 1st core of the militant Sikhs to by her divine blessings would defend the dharmic Indic faith of sikhi against the adharmic rapists , murderers ,who tortured Hindus alive incl Sikh gurus .

This video just popped up just scrolling and I couldn't stop and watched till end in single posture. I cried, felt ecstatic, meditative , reverence to Guru Gobind Singh about whom I learnt other than just sacrificing his all He was such a great poet. Thanks to each performer I heard it on youtube (thanks for this wonderful recording) cannot even imagine what it could mean to hear live. Great way to end Har Har - May Guru take away sufferings of all. A good deal of time is going to get invested in going through other Videos of Professor Surinder Singh.

Sama Veda is perhaps the earliest human literature on music. It naturally incorporates music, mantra, chhanda, linguistics, and above all, a reflection of the world view of rishis. Sama Veda is perhaps the earliest human literature on music. All the SGGS sections have a Raag as heading so that it can be recited in that specific intonation. Today original Raag instructions are not followed.

Wah Hey Guru ✨💐 When young I never got the chance to listen , do Kirtan or play instrument my heart still wishes to I was born in a Muslim family but dhyan Kirtan I was guided towards through existence Now in my 40’s I wish I could be accepted as a student by such an amazing teacher where I could just merge in.
