The most challenging song in History. The vocal performance of Gillian and the Musicianship on this recording is like catching lightning in a Bottle. Made In Japan is exactly how it was played The album wasn't enhanced or changed. Made In Japan is considered by millions as the best line album in History. That says something because in the Early Seventies there were so many Epic live albums.

His latest band is all folk music with his wife, Blackmores night, they have a few great tunes- Under a violet moon!

@latheofheaven1017
@latheofheaven1017 3 жыл бұрын
The studio version of Lazy is so slick. It grooves, it swings, all the solos are great. The two key changes change it up a gear and are somehow both a surprise on first listen. And I love the unusual structure, where it seems to be an instrumental for so long, and then suddenly turns into a song. The Made In Japan version is also great in its way, but it's more rocky (not that I dislike rock - I wouldn't be a Purple fan if I did). But it has less swing, and doesn't seem to have the momentum of the studio version for my money.

Best LIVE album in history! Ritchie Blackmore is the greatest living guitarist (Guitar God) along with Jimmy Page. Ian Gillan vocals had no match in that day. Ian Paice on the drums is now the best living drummer with the death of Neil Peart of Rush. Jon Lord on the keyboards who passed recently was the rock this band was built on. Don't get me wrong, both were amazing bands in their unique ways, but Led Zeppelin always won the studio album contest between them and Deep Purple. But LIVE??? For me, the bar starts here and no one else, even the mighty Zep, never touched these heights. Or any other live album as a complete whole. Every track is stellar. Sounds better today than then, after 50 years of perspective.

Well , zeppelin never made an album like Burn Stormbringer or Come Taste the Band. The album close to reach these albums was presence but Zeppelin never was even close on reaching Purple. Purple were out of these world. I don't say that zeppelin were bad , the opposite instead. But Purple was something else , live or not

@@PeanutMoments Loved Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band, love Deep Purple, but you are in a very small minority saying that Zeppelin "never was even close on reaching Purple". Live, yes, as I said above. I always found Zeppelin sloppy and unimpressive live. But the studio albums, of which I actually rank Purple's Who Do We Think We Are as their best, imho, all rank behind I, II, III, IV and Houses of the Holy. But, then again, Led Zeppelin III is probably my favorite of theirs, contrary to most people, with IV a close second. There are no wrong answers here, in the end. Every piece of music we are talking about is 1,000 times better than any of the slop being put out today...

Dude. Ritchie put Dio on the Map. Dio's Band called Elf had been around for a few years. Their biggest claim to Fame was warning up Deep Purple on the Stormbringer Tour in 74. Richie confronted Dio about starting a new bad. Dio said 'I don't want to leave my friends." So Ritchie said I will take the whole band minus the guitarist. Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow was Elf minus the guitarist. Then Dio became the Legend he is today. Without Ritchie it is possible that Elf and Dio woukd have never made it. If you are a Dio fan you must hear the first 3 Rainbow Album's. The second album called Rainbow Rising is considered the best Album of the three and many claim it to be the best studio album in History. Listen to Stargazer. Also Ritchie has sold about 15 million albums of Acoustic Music. He stopped playing Rock and started Blackmore's Night. Ritchie's beautiful Wife is named Candice Night. She is a good singer. The music is Renaissance Style. Ritchie was a guitarist for Jerry Lee Lewis's European tour. Richie beat out Jimmy Page for the job and I believe Rutchie was 15. Richie also was a staple for studio guitarist and played on a few hits. Thirdly, Ritchie played in a Band called the Outlaws that had some hits and Hendrix heard one of them and loved Ritchie solo. Ritchie was the best solo and improv guitarist. Ritchie has created more original music than anyone else now approaching 60 years or more. So I guess that may answer your question about if Ritchie making it after and before Deep Purple. Ritchie is considered the most influential guitarist in History. He was the original Speed Guitarist and Speed Metal and Thrash came out of a Rainbow Song called Kill the King.

Thinking about the big, hard-rock acts of the time, Led Zeppelin got to be a lot more famous than Deep Purple, partly because Zep had an insanely tough manager, partly because this line-up of Deep Purple fell apart not long after this album was released. But for me, Deep Purple were way ahead with the music. Just take that passage that starts with the riff being hammered out with the snare tattoo, through the loud organ solo and then up two gears for Ritchie's guitar solo. There's nothing that Zep ever did that could match that rock energy.
