@@lindseycampbell3023 Understood, it's is kinda too late to get a sequel going for this. But a reference from this movie or the ending of it would've been great in say a future King Kong movie or another monster movie on an Island.

I wish the characters at least had a a break in the end.

@@danielramsey6141 No, you're right, it was supposed to be the King Kong island because he was going to direct the KING KONG reboot to coincide/compete with the new GODZILLA. But when that bombed, the plan was scrapped and Sommers went off to make THE MUMMY. Peter Jackson picked up KONG and made it a retro-story. So those characters were probably going to be in the KING KONG reboot since they were already on the island, but what happened after that, we'll probably never know unless Sommers had notes and decides to share them some day.

my favorite was when they were in the machine shop of the ship "What you got there?" "Peanut" fumbling with it "...Peanut?" "Peanut!" "Okay a peanut" drops the peanut into the water "Shit!"

It's supposed to be Skull Island. The ending was a lead-in for the modern-day reboot of KING KONG that Stephen Sommers was lined up to make. Then the 1998 GODZILLA movie bombed and the plan was scrapped; the KING KONG project was shlepped around Hollywood until Peter Jackson picked it up and did a retro-version of the story. Sommers decided to direct THE MUMMY with Brendan Frasier instead. As for what the monster was, I don't think we were ever going to find out because the sequel was probably going to pick up after they got off the beach.

I loved this movie when it first came out, and still do to this day. in fact, this was one of the rare times where I didn't mind watching this in the theater multiple times (took my late father to see it as my 2nd showing)

The Highlander 3 video is so epicly done, he had great music to work with and used it better than so many other trailer makers.

I agree, the endings and also the trailers at the beginning of these retrospectives are so good. Much more enjoyable than the official trailers. On the other hand, they may give away too much for someone who hasn't watched the movie yet and wants to be surprised.

There was talk of Star Wars bringing Mara Jade out of the old Expanded universe... Janssen is the perfect choice. She’s still hot as hell.

@@mikereger1186 ermmm, listen guys, I dont like it when you talk about my future wife like that.... *grin* ....just dont tell my current wife. ;) Some movies are just spoiled for me a character is killed off, one massive movie was XMen, when she was killed off, I lost basically all interest in the movies/story. Same for when they Killed of Rita (Julie Benz) in Dexter. Never liked the series after that and it didnt help that whoever produced it (I forget who now) just messed it up so much.

@@Not-TheOne I haven't watched the X-men movies after the first one, but I can tell you that in the comic books, characters are killed off all the time, only to return later, alive and well, sometimes as the same character from another timeline, or as a clone, or whatever the writers can think of. The same has happened with Jean Grey. If the movies are anything like the comics, she will return. edit: On second thought, after doing some reading about the movies on Wikipedia, forget it. Instead of staying true to the original stories, the damn studio executives have decided that they are better story writers, so they run the show now. According to them, the comic book X-men stories are too complex and dark for a general audience, so they changed everything. They also made Shadowcat much older than in the comics and made Bolivar Trask Black. Smh. Just more reasons for me to never watch those movies.

lol she looks and acts waaaaaay sexier here than in Goldeneye to me. Sure Xenia might be the more memorable character, but here she's sexy in a MUCH more realistic, sultry fashion. Xenia to me was super campy and smothered with makeup, but i guess that's what the role called for.

Its a fun movie filled with great quotes. Plus you should check out Southern Comfort, its not exactly horror but survival. Very underrated.
