Baviaanskloof after all the recent rains from West to East.
All streams are flowing with a couple deep ones.
No problem getting through in 4x4.
Smitskraal is currently (8 Oct 2023) about 700mm deep & flowing strongly towards Patensie side.
The deep water is probably about 300m, so it is currently a long deep crossing with a strong current flow towards Patensie side.
So crossing towards Patensie the current flows past you as can be seen in the video
There is a lot of water flowing to the river crossings to the west of Grasnek Pass up to the West gate, even along the roads.
