Happened to me during a duo with a random driller in an extraction mission I joined midgame as a scout. The wave of swarm was already peeking to dangerous amounts, so after some hard-fought waves later, we got the job done and were on our way to the pod only to see it positioned like in the video. we've both stared at each other silently for a few seconds before I grappled my way into the suspended pod to ensure mission success. I provided cover fire for him for half a minute hoping he would find a way up, but it was hopeless. He typed "go" in the chat and with one last look at his figure being swarmed, I reluctantly got in the pod, and the last thing I heard before the door closed was "Rock and stone forerver!" followed by a C4 explosion.

I think engie would be the hardest in this scenario. Zips at least keep you safe from the bulk of the swarm, and can be zigzagged up the cavern while providing fire support. Scout and driller would get up pretty easily, if ya got em.

@@SaidAlotTry using 2 zips then. Zip to a high wall, engi place a platform there. From that point you can do a second zip that reaches the pod.

@@SaidAlot I still dont know why we have 38 max angle on zipline and such a low ammo capacity. Almost every situation that requires zipline for gunner need way more than that angle(and its unnecessarily slow). You just follow your engi laying platforms and zipline is often useless.

Scout: grapples up easily Driller: digs confusing vertical tunnel that leads directly underneath the drop pod into the drill part. Gunner: spends valuable time trying to get the right angle for a zip line, then gets knocked off of it mid way by a mactera. Engineer: follows either driller or gunner while having a panic attack.

Agreed. Having an experienced driller makes mission a lot easier. Yes, they will still take your life from time to time but they'll also make sure nobody gets left behind.
