Correct, lovely at this time of the year, everything is so lush, now I enjoy driving the outback and seeing all the colours the deserts provide

Hey Jools Excited to hear your plans to relocate. Me and mine are doing something similar, though we're moving west not north. Bought a cottage on 6 acres in the west of Ireland, needs some TLC but that's not an issue. We looked at France also but the day-to-day living expenses put us off.

Hey man this is totally random but I know your the man to ask as you have a caravan. So, I'm considering buying a caravan and parking it in my garden for the sole purpose of sleeping in it. Now I understand that in order for me to make use of the appliances in the caravan, the oven for example and/or anything electrical to that effect; how would I connect this to some electrical outlet? The caravan will be parked right next to the gaff, and I've seen some houses have an outdoor socket that you can plug stuff into...would this be the solution? I really would appreciate your advice :))

It would be very simple, you just buy an adaptor that would connect to your electric hook up cable and plug into a 3 pin socket in your house, no probs with running electric on that, although I would not want to over load the supply. But you could buy the necessary fuse box/trip switch and hard wire from your house mains to the outside and then simply plug in your hook up cable. Even getting in a Sparky to do all the work would not be overly expensive. Caravan ovens would run on gas. Just make sure that you have no overly nosey neighbours who might object as it depends on your local council if it's allowed!
