The Atlantis exhibit is my personal favorite. As with most nerdy kids, I wanted to be an astronaut. I remember watching shuttle launches in amazement as a kid in Michigan. I remember watching the Challenger shuttle incident at school. I used to dream about going up in the shuttle, but logically knew that would never happen. Then they discontinued the shuttle program and I was gutted. I was resolved to the fact that I'd never see a shuttle in my lifetime. I When you walk in, there is an amazing video that sets the tone for the experience. I broke into tears when the bay doors opened revealing the shuttle behind the screen. I wasn't just teary-eyed, I just fell apart and sobbed uncontrollably. Hell, I'm fighting back tears right now for having just remembered it! The whole trip was very emotional for me. However, the Atlantis exhibit was (and always will be) my favorite place at KSC.

I've been to KSC twice and now I feel like I've never been haha! I missed so much. Great video, thanks for sharing!

Visited it once way back in 2002. Planning to go again in the next few years. I believe Atlantis or Endeavor were being taken to the main launchpad when I was there. Definitely a place to visit especially now

Stop this insane nonsense. Get to work here on planet earth where y'all can actually accomplish so many things desperately in need of upgrading. Your outerspace fantasy hobby is not what really matters. Outerspace satellites necessary for international communications is one thing. Beyond that, it's pure selfish greed.
