what people don't understand is how a toxic relationship can make you fearful of getting in another relationship. it is dumb to say that she was taking advantage of him. they both were okay with it and were honest about it else she wouldn't have said it in front of him. she was traumatized and needed time to heal from it because if she hadn't she would have jumped in relationship with him and everytime any small thing had triggered her she would have hurt him. she was in a casual relationship with him and even though she knew he was the one for her out of fear she tried to protect herself from the unknown. they dated casually and in the back of her head she was aware that she wants to commit to him then he proposed and she said yes. i don't get what kind of people don't understand what a healthy relationship is supposed to be.

Them having an open relationship is their choice, we aren’t anyone to judge them, but then deepika’s over enthusiastic pr team always attacks, others and makes them look like the bad person (ranbir) when she herself has dated like gazillion people and just imagine if a male actor said this (i just wanted to have fun because this was the age too) he would have gotten so much hate, and would have been given the playboy tag. Plus deepika’s statements dont match up, before she said “i cant be in a casual relationship” in 2014 while she was in one, and had ranveer by the side, so she clearly lied. Lol

Exactly. I don't think anyone had a problem with her approach had she not given previous statements like I'm not into open relationships back in 2014, while she was in one. Furthermore, her pretending to not remember the guys when she just said it less than a minute back herself. I like how this talk is soo rational. Don't mind me, this comment section felt like a safe place hence the long cmment. When she said till ranveer proposed, I think she meant they weren't in a relationship then. In her mind she liked him and felt he liked her too. It seemed natural all in head and action but words were never put to it. There was this one interview of virat where he shares that how after a few months of knowing anushka he felt he was in a relationship but during one conversation when this topic was brought up, she said "are we? I think we are just friends." (or something along similar lines) Its normal in real life too to feel conflicted when things are not put into words. Not saying she is right or anything because i believe this information is manipulated edit. We don't know all the details so just painting someone as a red flag just with a few words is wrong. If and when we do have sufficient details, we can make any statements then.

They are celebrities and they have a very different lifestyle and social life than us. The things which might be wrong for normal people might not be wrong in their social circle. Everyone in Bollywood and Hollywood has affairs/open relationships. So stop portraying it as if Ranveer is a victim. if you have paid attention to the line it was “they both were allowed to see other people” so if Deepika was seeing other people Ranveer was aware of them and the same if Ranveer was seeing other people Deepika knew about them too. I’m no one to judge their relationship and Indian society as a whole should also stop behaving like Pados Wali Aunty and focus on their lives.
