The current events in India are producing millions of mentally disturbed people. In India, the psychiatrists have a grand opportunity. Before, the religion provided mental stress relief , now, mental instability and mental disorder. I'm glad you are talking about it. In reality, the Indians are not ready yet to seek help, starting from the head of the nation to the teachers teaching a 7 year old child like in Muzaffernagar.

If anyone needs some help, the book "30 Days to Reduce Depression" by Harper Daniels helped me learn some mindfulness exercises that I still use today. It helps to learn to calm the mind and allow the depressive thoughts to pass. It takes time, but it is worth trying.
