Deepti is a very sophisticated , polished and well mannered human being. I recall meeting her at her residence after the demise of her fiance Vinod Pandit who was a very dear friend of mine while he lived in my city in the 70's till mid 80's . Vinod and I ; performed together on stage on quite a number of occasions. May his soul rest in peace forever. Glad to note that Deepti is keeping herself with her writing and painting. Wishing her a very happy new year and my best always.

Btw, there has been a typo error on my part...... Glad to note that Deepti is keeping herself occupied with her writing and painting. She truly is a very multifaceted character. Her journey from Amritsar to New York to Bombay finally has been very eventful. Incidentally Vinod Pandit used to live in my city of Bangalore in the 70's till mid 80's and the two of us pursued our singing careers and on quite a good number of occasions we shared the stage. He was one of the most clean & good hearted human beings I came across in my life. It's sad he passed away at a young age of just 49. May his soul rest in peace always.

I have seen almost all of her movies..especially with Farooq Sheikh. Used to love their movies. मुझे इनके बारे में ही जानना था बचपन में बहोत बार टीवी पर देखा था तो शकल सूरत देखकर ही पता नहीं ऐसा लगता था कोई बहौत ही सीधी भोली सी महिला है इनकी कथा फिल्म मुझे बहोत पसंद आई थी ये और स्मिता पाटिल दोनो ही मुझे बहोत उम्दा अभिनेत्रियां लगती हैं ज्यादा तड़क भड़क नाच गाना नहीं बस इनका शुद्ध अभिनय ही मन मोह लेता है
