I have a hyper Viszla, she has never been in a kennel and runs around all day, 3 weeks into the BP and she is dialled on Category 2 sits and holds while I walk around for 30 seconds before I release her. I spend 20 minutes a day on her and will sit on Cat 2 for another week before moving to Cat 3. Cheers

Hey mate, did you reckon a German Shepherd would make a good deer dog? I'm quite attracted to the breed but I'm not sure how practical they would be in the bush. All the k9 units lead me to think they would be good trackers if trained properly

Hi Paul, I have purchased rhe blueprint and am trying to train my Vizsla for when i am out in the bush to indicate Deer etc but haven't kenneled him but rather he lives inside and knows his crate. He is quite hyper on walks but is responding well to whistle calls. He doesn't venture to far in front in the bush probably up to 10m before turning and waiting but that probably got more to do with the velcro stigma. I did start him on the long line when he was younger but unfortunately i stopped due to him not ever running off and stopping main training due to being time limited with work. He is now 10months old and i need to warch the remainder of episode but stopped after the second one due to longline. Is it to late to continue his training or do i just continue where i left off? Rhanks for the insight and looking forward to watching the rest of the series. Also if a gps collar is required due to laws in state forests in Australia which one would you recommend in forested areas. What do you guys use over there in NZ. Regards Jim

Do you know if anyone has tried using the blueprint on a terrier? say a jack russel or foxy?
