About a month until rifle season followed by black powder here. Stared getting things ready last week. Years that I bow hunt everything is ready much sooner. Fall projects took up my time and I had my new hunting dog spayed a few weeks ago. Since she's been good to go we've been upland bird hunting instead of bow. Which I a nice change. Next year I'll do both.

Yes'r, always look. I shot a doe a few years ago, good lung shot, that ran nearly 100 yards. There was no blood of hair where it was standing, for a good 25-30 yards. Always keep looking.

You are so correct people believe the miss and then not follow up. That’s so sad when I find blood and I can’t find a deer I’m sick to my stomach till I can get out there the next day and see if I find this deer in my 35 years of hunting I’ve only been able to not fine too dear.

Good hunting. It's kinda warm here in sw AR. But it's been raining finally here. Perfect stalking and some early rut going on. But I haven't got to go much this week. Had a total hip replacement 10/2 . So, I'm limited on stalking. Love those flintlocks too. Great video!

Shot a doe Saturday at 40 yards with the inline. It ran 200 yards and no blood for the first 190 yards. High lung hit. Some hair at the shot site.

You need to do your research on the early PA muzzleloader hunt b4 making a comment. It's only a doe hunt to reduce the deer population to sustainable levels. Any deer kill is always a trophy.
