My friend Dave and I took my 6 x 8 hunting box blind down from one property, transported it to the other property, then set it back up with a Bobcat Track Skid Loader. I explain the steps along the way of this time lapse video. Once it's up, you'll see the first look out if it of the hunting land below... what a view!

Getting ready to do same thing on a banks blind in Ohio. I have a deer 333g and plan on lifting it up and putting the posts on at the location. Good video and pretty farm

Great video. I'll be setting up my blind tomorrow and I hope it goes as smooth as this did.

Hey Chadd, just wondering how I went for you setting your up...?
@chaddfry5345
@chaddfry5345 2 жыл бұрын
@@UncleBucks It went up just as smooth as yours did, and I wish I could send you some pictures/videos. My cousin was able to get a tractor with forks, and we had it up, braced, and anchored in under 2 hours.

Brett, any idea on how much that stand weighs?
@UncleBucks
@UncleBucks 2 жыл бұрын
Just a guess, but I would say close to 1000 lbs.

Ok thanks. I found the manufacturer claims they support up to 1000 lbs so you're close to the limit.

@@njgrplr2007 I have zero concerns at 1000 lbs weight. I could set a truck on top of it yet and they would still hold.

Question regarding the porch - is it a 2x4 frame with decking boards across the top? How is it secured to the blind? I’m currently building a 6x6 octagon based on your plans and may try to incorporate some type of small porch landing like this one for my ladder. Thanks for all your work!
@UncleBucks
@UncleBucks Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is a 2x4 frame, plenty adequate for a small porch like this. It is secured to the blind base with two 4" carriage bolts. I think this type of porch would work just fine on the octagon blind. Good luck with your build!

Is that large cedar obscuring your view?
@UncleBucks

Yes. It's a white pine - it was a white pine. It no longer obstructs my view, LOL

@@UncleBucks looked like a cedar in the photo, that's a shame; I have planted probably a thousand white pine seedlings throughout my property and maybe a 1/3 made it, and that's with a lot of care. In my area red cedar grows everywhere but white pine has to be planted. Sad you had to cut down a white pine.
@UncleBucks
@UncleBucks 2 жыл бұрын
@@dukeman7595 yeah, I'ts already quite open around there but white pine grow here like cedars do there. Lots of small ones are coming up all over on their own, now that cattle aren't in there.

Hello Bret! I will be building a 6x6 this winter and was just wondering about how much it weighs as a finished product?
@UncleBucks
@UncleBucks 2 жыл бұрын
Just a guess but probably in the 800# range on a 6x6.
