Filmed in December 2018, Hysteria At The O2 captures Def Leppard celebrating the groundbreaking Hysteria, one of their two diamond-certified 10x platinum albums (the other being Pyromania). Performed in its entirety before a ravenous sold-out crowd, this momentous homecoming event is made all the more powerful as it was their long-awaited debut at the iconic O2 Arena in London.
Six months later, just after their induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Def Leppard undertook a residency in Las Vegas at Zappos Theatre in Planet Hollywood. Hits Vegas, Live At Planet Hollywood is a 28-song deep dive into not only their greatest hits, but rarities and acoustic renditions.

I have said this for years now & that is . Def Leppard is the greatest band ever , not just because the write great songs & because everyone of them can sing . But because of the character they showed to Rick Allen after he lost his arm . They could've replaced him but they gave him time to relearn how to play the drums again , I don't think their's another band that would have done that . Especially these days .

Def Leppard has been together since the late 1970s, so much much longer than 26 years, if Joe said that it was in error, at that point Def Leppard had been a band for 40 years. There has been a few lineup changes as you can imagine, I believe Joe and Rick Savage have been there since the start (1977)and then I think Rick Allen joined (1978) -he was 15, then Phil joined in 1982, last but not least you heard about Vivian in this video.

Vivian would occasionally flip his guitar pick in the air and catch it. A few times...Phil Collen (the guitar player with no shirt and the shredded abs) sometimes would intercept it and pitch it back to him.

The new guy Vivian prior to Def Leppard got his big start being Dio's first guitarist on Dio's solo band. Then he joined Whitesnake for the 87' tour. One of my favorite guitarists. He also had cancer Hodgkin lymphoma

His voice issues are resolved, he said he had a frozen vocal cord. I saw them in 2022, and joe sounded better then I've heard for many many years, and I've been to all their shows in my area!

Latest US tour (2022) Def Leppard played to stadium crowds of 35K and up. Joe and Sav (bassist) are the founders and have been together in the band and still best friends for 45 years. Rick, the drummer signed with the band on his 15th birthday. He has been with the band for 44 years. Phil Collen nearly always plays shirtless. He is 65 years old, does not drink or smoke and is a strict vegan. Def Leppard takes a trainer with them on tour and at least three of the guys regularly work out. These guys actually like one another and always share one dressing room.

Well said, you know their history as I do, people get the impression on this, and other reaction channels, that they literally have only been together 26 years total. If hysteria was 31 years old at the time, do the math people, and this being the fourth album! Thank you for being the brains of the operation, I can stop screaming in my head now about these details!

@@user-nz1ce7nz4eActually the original members were Savage and Willis (along with some other short lived temps)… Joe Elliot auditioned for them - actually as a guitarist - but they were not impressed with his guitar playing, they were however impressed with his voice. This is when the line-up became established and they chose the name Def Leppard.

Originated in Sheffield England in 1977 as a band called Atomic Mass. Original lineup was Joe Elliott,lead vocals, Rick Savage,bass, Steve Clark and Pete Willis sharing lead and rythem guitar's and Tony Kennon on the drums. Kennon quit so he could spend more time with his g/f,replaced by Rick Allen. Pete Willis got the heave ho from the band cause he showed up to rehearsal and concerts drunk,replaced by Phil Collen in 1983. Steve Clark died in January of 1991 due to alcoholism,replaced by Vivian Campbell in 1992.

Guitar picks. Viv throws guitar pics every single time they play this song. Phil the guitar play who's ripped can do 100 kickboxing kicks in one minute (watch the youtube of it). He puts coconut oil on for every show to show how ripped he is and good luck when he wears a shirt on stage. I'm glad you got to see how amazing this song is live and why it charted in the top 100 on 8 worldwide charts including 3 #3's. If ya'll love this you NEED to watch the 2019 version of "Let's Get Rocked" from their Las Vegas residency to see the most amazing guitar dives and solos and slides. It's like an eargasm

Phil the shirtless man I know he is 60 I believe. If not he is close to it. He is without a shirt a lot. He is proud of that 6 pack as he should be! Vivian was in Dio back in the day and also in White Snake. I have loved him for years. I am 52 and I remember when they came out I was in high school. I have loved this band for years. I remember when Rick lost his arm and I was devastated but they would not get another drummer so Rick Allen is the shit!! Then when Steve passed it was so hard. You know how when you listen to a bands music it is like they family kinda. We mourned for the loss of Steve. Then they got one of the best musicians that fit right in! This band has never wavered they have kept it real and we love them for that!! I loved you guys reaction! It’s always great to see you guys! I’m hoping sometime around January or a little after I might be able to get a song 💕💕💕btw I am disabled so you guys help me so much in my really sick days like today. Have a wonderful Christmas!! 😘😘😘

So the truth is Steve Clark was there when they formed and played in the studio wrote on every tecord from On Thorugh The Night til Adrenalize Album. When he passed Def Leopard was no more. Vivian Campbell is his own thing and they carried on but ill forever be in tune with the origuonal line up i saw them with Steve Clark in the Round!!

Phil Colleen (the guitar player with the killer abs) is 63 years young!! Years ago he gave up alcohol, became a vegan and began doing Muay Thai. He’s in better shape now than when this album came out in 1987!!

Actually Def Leppard as a band have been together since 1977. Vivian joined the band when original guitarist Steve Clark passed away in 1991. So in reality Def Leppard have been together for 44 years.

Joe had vocal cord issues many times off and on, I have seen them many many times. According to Joe, had a frozen vocal cord. His voice issue are gone, and he sounded absolutely incredible, the best I've heard in years, most of the songs were album quality. I love seeing them older, it truly shows that they are legends, how many bands play to massive crowds 44 years later, amazing!

On Through the Night was ok, High N' Dry is their bestest, grittiest, hard rockin'est album, they ever made. I used to love Pyromania, but 40 years later, I keep comin' back to High N' Dry over all others. Hysteria was the beginning of the end for them. You're right, though.
