Another reason we all love Judge Simpson. This is one of the best videos I have ever seen in a court case, for several reasons. The main reason is not necessarily the obvious one. The fact that this young man wants to take the high road where he will be held to a higher standard and a tougher set of obligations. It is rare to see a defendant who asks to be put through a tough program so that he can learn how to live without his addiction being in control. I really hope and pray he sticks with his program, learns how to live with his addiction and not let it control him. The other reason was that great way he put it about judge Simpsons signature! I really hope this young man gets into comedy. He is an excellent word smith, and I think a lot of it was off the cuff. Now I would love to be a fly on the wall around judge Simpson. I wonder how many times people will ask for his autogr..., I mean his signature?! I hope that Law Talk With Mike uses your video and gives you credit. I think his laugh in the background would be gold!

not everyday you see judge Simpson able to smile sincerely thru a case. this guy slipped but still really wants help. I hope he succeeds and proves to be a great example of recovery.

This was refreshing. That young man seemed to be fully aware of all the people he has been working as well as both in custody and in patient services he needs to get back up on deck. Amazing.

Great Judge. Also one of the few defendants that spoke properly,showing some motivation to move forward admitting wrong doing instead of arguing, interrupting etc.

How do people live their lives like this? Knowing and bartering for his freedom with time spent/credits and other, circuit courts, PLUS giving false information to a Police Officer? I ask again. How do people live their lives, do they enjoy this?
