This video reviews my Fall 2017 8U Defensive Adjustments using the 62 Multi 8 Youth Football Defense. Our defense was the top defense in our age division with the least points allowed all season. We finished 3rd in our 8U KYA Football rec tackle league. Our team plays in North Ft Worth / Keller Texas.

But I would have to do tight tackle I cant shift the DT out unless I shift the DE to linebacker depth but if theres a TE or Wing I can go head up with the DE

Hey coach, I coach a 7/8 yr old team where cannot have nosegaurds and down line has to be head up, no shifing, no creep blitzing until next year.. We can have 6 on the line unless the opposing team runs true spread 4 recievers.. I think Im going to try the 6-2 or 6-3 this season

You can easily do it just move your noseguard headup on the OG and DTs head up on the OTs and the DEs shaded outside EMOL. This should be fine. You could even run a Split 60 which is outlined in my book too.

In reference to the 6-3 Hybrid Steel Curtain verses the Wildcat/Beast Formation. How would you match up if it had a unbalanced line with the Power Tackle on the Strongside and knowing that the Weakside Tackle is eligible? Another question I have is still for verification Coach, who is assigned to the Tightends?

I cover TEs with CBs and LBs watching them in a 63. We watch scout film quite a bit. I may have the DT or DE jam any route running TE from film. If we know they pass we may not run a 63 vs a 62. Hope that helps....

Keeping in mind of defending the Beast Jumbo and Spread Formations with the Unbalanced Line and Power Tackle to the Strong Side. How would you defend it? The Steel Curtain Adjustment in your 6-2 Hybrid leaves a big whole in the center of the Defense created by the line being Unbalanced. What would you do Coach? I've been watching the Videos of you and Coach Beast the past couple of days and I like your adjustments to the Balanced Set. The Unbalanced Set is a whole other situation I must learn to defend with your help. I know both System work and both are effective, I have to learn how to stop me (Someone using the Same System.) come game time.
