The Guardians of the Globe aren't weak. That's why Omni-Man tried to kill them all by taking them by surprise, which it worked in the comic. In the show, Kirkman and the script writers thought it would be cool to give fans the fight they never got to see and show WHY Omni-Man decided to kill them in a surprise attack: cause they were actually strong when working together.

In the comic,omniman gets beat by a young (but experienced) mark with the guardians help in a back to the past timetravel stuff. So they are powerful. Not quite viltrumite level but their abilities make them tricky opponents

"how was he hurt by them weak ass heroes?" They aren't weak. They were the strongest heroes on the planet, and we've seen other heroes that would be weaker than them do some impressive stuff. Omniman killing them let's you know how much of a fucking threat he is. It would basically be like if the league tried to take on superman with no idea who he was and he was bloodlusted.... That shit may not go well for them.

It would be even worse if the Justice League all knew Superman, and he suddenly attacked them by surprise with lethal force. Shock and disbelief would make them hesitate and hold back at first, like what happened in Invincible. Except for Batman, but he's paranoid. His analogue, Darkwing, isn't paranoid and doesn't have Bats' plot armor, so he got a more realistic outcome.

Homelander has always been little league tee ball in the realm of American comic canon. His abilities don't even register to a noticeably significant degree. This battle was essentially made because you had a lot of "TV only" fans of Homelander from The Boys screaming that he could destroy Omni-Man simply due to having laser eyes yet knowing nothing about the latter, let alone, the source material. This taught the normies something...

In the comics he even flew through a planet and destroyed it. Homelander hadn't even wiped out an island let alone a moon or planet. Homelander is the weakest superman knock off ever.

To be fair guys if you don’t want to be spoiled then don’t watch them. These are fans that love to analyze everything not just what the shows release so far. I understand you want to see the fan made fights but when you complain about spoilers it really puzzles me when you should know what you’re in for already by now. @@jeravian depends on the book you're reading. The MCU runs on a separate storyline to the main comic continuity due to multiverse theory. Hell, the comic version of Doctor Strange knows that his character is being played by Benedict. Invincible and Boys are running on similar plot structure where they're using content from the comics, but playing the events differently. Due to their popularity thanks to the shows, inevitably there will be people who will spoil it on social media like KZfaq or Twitter by showing some of the comic pages. It like saying you prefer the anime, when somebody has already read the manga and said it's better.

And I’ve read the Herald of Thor series/ others, and he really is OP as fuck and it’s more interesting than the movies fr, but the movies just have visuals which tend to appeal more to me.
