Virgil saying, "how repulsive" to Trish when she says, "i thought a twin of Dante would be fun", is fitting since Trish was made in the image of Eve, Dante and Virgil's mother. "It's stylish vs. viewtiful, okay then" is obviously a reference to Viewtiful Joe, and Dante's grading system in his game where you're judged by how stylish your combat was. Love how much thought when into these intros against all these characters, and I'm glad you got some of the references.

It also has a fighting game history. It was first made playable in Marvel Super Heroes to help diversify the roster so it wasn’t just a bunch of men in tights. It soon made it to MvC 2, and it alongside Jill are the only DLC characters for MvC 3.

Hsien-Ko (the blue skinned girl with the big claws) is a character from Darkstalkers, a fighting game series with horror and folklore monsters as characters, along with Felicia (the catgirl) and Morrigan (the succubus). She's a jiangshi (some Chinese mix of zombie and vampire), but she retained her humanity, and is able to control her powers because of her paper seal on her hat (which is her sister, taking the form of the paper seal when they go fight, and getting back to human form when the fight's over.) Deadpool's "Welcome to Die" quote against Magneto is a reference to the X-Men arcade game made by Konami, where in one of the stages, Magneto will appear floating, and say "Hahahah! X-Men! Welcome to die!", as a pure example of Engrish. Rocket Raccoon's quote about going to Raccoon City is pretty ironic, considering that in his ending, he does exactly that to go into a vacation, but, it being Raccoon City, it goes as badly as you'd expect, as he's fighting through the hordes of zombies Speaking of zombies, there's Frank West (the photographer guy), who is from the Dead Rising series. He's a freelance photographer who initially goes to uncover the truth about a shopping mall incident, but when he's in there, he finds himself in the middle of a zombie outbreak. So he tries his best to survive the zombie horde inside the gigantic mall, using anything he can find as weapons (they range from toys to chainsaws, guns and other powerful weapons) while trying to find out about what caused all of that.

So the reason why Vergil called Trish "repulsive", is because she's a demonic copy of Dante and Vergil's mother. Also, you should check out each character's endings as well. It's interesting, since they go with a comic book approach when doing it.

Frank West is my all time favorite CapCom character (the dude with the camera lol). His game series is Dead Rising and it’s known for being an open world game with a LOT of zombies on screen and you being able to kill them with anything you can find. Phoenix Wright is a close second. He’s a lawyer in his game series.

To answer about why theres a captain america/punisher outfit, at the end of Civil War after cap is arrested (and later killed) punisher stole caps cowl to take up the mantle (although very briefly) with a redesigned captain america costume mixed with his own punisher aethetics. Winter Soldier eventually took the cowl back and became Captain America himself.

That's why she was called a human corpse. You know speaking of which, Morrigan was an odd character as well. She was a succubus, but she was more interested with fighting than doing succubus thinks. Ahe had that problem of being perpetually bored because she a stupidly powerful demon, so she is constantly running out of the castle to find a challenge. So she's closer to a kinky Ryu than anything else. Well a kinky Ryu that could kick someone across a city.

They've both have a wonderful Art style that's unique to them only, even after a decade and more years, it's still beautiful, as well as the story, characters and special abilities using the "Divine Brush"! I seriously suggest you check it out, it's beautiful, and if you can, play Okami HD!

This was a real nice video. Just to give a little bit of trivia on the game itself, the developers really went out of their way to throw in as many references with the Marvel characters as possible, not just in regards to the comics or movies but also video games, for example, not sure if you’ve seen or played it but there was a game on the Super Nintendo called Marvel War of the Gems made by Capcom, and in that game the enemy types were just alternate colored versions of regular Marvel characters as evil clones. Hawkeye, Wolverine and Iron Man all have have alternate costumes in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 that directly reference that game. Super obscure thing that they didn’t have to acknowledge but they went and did it anyway.

For DMC since y'all did GoW finishers y'all could try Nero's Busters and Buster Counters in DMC 4 and 5. Busters are DMC's equivalent to finishers except you can manually do a lot of them but a few are contextual counters. Contextual as when they attack you time a button press and it may do a special move. Nero's the only one who can do them because he's the most physically strong of them. A lot are just wrestling moves but there are a lot of real crazy ones that involve multiple suplexes at a time.

There is a possible explanation for the Cap-Zero quote beyond a simple insult. Captain America likely faced the Mitsubishi A6M "Zero" , an aircraft that was used in kamikaze strikes in the final stages of WW2.
