Can we appreciate how well they sell Courage's scream in the battle's climax? The way it briefly flashes black and white and drowns out the soundtrack while sounding like a nuke gives it so much impact! Unironically one of the most badass moments in Death Battle history!

Safe to say that this is one of the few Death Battles with an outcome that no one with a beating heart will be upset about. I grew up with Scooby like everybody else, but Courage is my absolute favorite childhood cartoon and one of my favorite cartoon protagonists! Quite a lot of nostalgia this season for me, lol.

20:19 for those who missed it or aren’t aware, this line is a reference to one his show’s running gags. Where he comments on what’s happening and says “or my name is xx, and it’s not.” Bit of a sad fact: The Scooby/Courage crossover movie was Thea White’s(Muriel’s voice actress) final performance before she passed 😢.

Very nostalgic one as I’ve watched both shows and I’m so glad this didn’t end in either one’s death. In fact, Eustass dying is a common occurrence so this was just a Courage ending.

Yes, Scooby Doo is an alien. At least, in one continuity. According to the show Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated, Scooby belongs to an ancient race of ultraterrestrial beings called the Anunnaki, which take the form of talking animals.

Even though many people are too young to get the joke, possibly the funniest thing was Courage opening the door and finding Colombo on the other side :D. The words "Just one ore thing..." coming from that man's lips are some of the most terrifying words in exitance if you think you are getting away with murder.

i was not excited for this episode because it broke one of the few rules i have, aka no animals allowed, aside from obvious exceptions like obviously fictional aliens or werewolves. but i am really happy with how this turned out, also the track "forever terror night" is legitimately amazing and im fairly sure its the 5th lyrical track in a row for this season, even if i still think "discordant dicipher" and "fireborn" are better than it

Toon vs Toon. In cartoons the general rule was, the protagonist wins, or rather the one that starts the conflict is the one that loses. Which even though Courage tripped Scooby, it was Eustice that technically started the conflict.

I had to go for Courage for two reasons. I loved Courage more growing up, so there's the loyalty. But I also lost my 19 year old Beagle mix back in August, so I sided Courage for Maggie's love. In the end, this battle had no business going this hard and I think everyone is satisfied with the outcome lol Also, Chad James, as referenced by Courage, is the voice of Boomstick. The more you know!

I didn't know who to vote for because I grew up with both pooches and I'd hate for one of them to die brutally so I waited to see who wins in the end but luckily the deathbattle ended with them surviving, so both dogs survived and defeated the monster that was chasing them. Yay!

Yeah, don't really like how they glossed over Scooby's alien origins. If you've seen the Mystery Inc. series, the darkest series of Scooby ever. It explains that he's descended from aliens, which explains why he can talk.

You guys shouldve watched the Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro Death Battle otherwise you risk being spoiled in an episode like this,its one of most prominent and silliest Death Battles because it's ends in not a "Draw" but in a manner where they continue to fight indefinitely but Boomsticks and Wiz can't even comprehend the battle with their instruments. Top fictional Dog character for me personally is Goddard from Jimmy Neutron. The amount of abilities this thing has is pretty crazy considering it was made by a kid. Size manipulation. explode himself and reassemble. Voice copying. Space travel. That's not even all I think I know Scooby Doo is far more popular,but I was pulling for Courage. Scooby Doo is legitimately a pop Culture Icon and needs no real introduction for his Legacy. I mean fucking Batman respects his skills,that's like having Kobe and MJ both looking at Shaggy and going "I've studied your tapes on occasion to improve my game". Everyone loves Scooby Doo. Courage the Cowardly Dog on the other hand isn't anywhere near as famous for his deeds,his show wasnt the most popular of its era and only went for 2 seasons and all ,but his Loyalty/sacrifice/and literal willingness to rip apart both himself and reality just to protect kind old Muriel who found him on the street next to the trash all alone is some hardcore shit. I'm so glad he didn't die.
