This one’s a top 5 Deftones song ever for me. The main riff contrasting with the slow sludgy sounds, the brutally heavy drumming, Chino’s subdued vocals that sound like he’s dying, the “go get your knife” part, and the breakdown… oh boy, the screams on that breakdown are genuinely bone-chilling. Perfect song, also one of the Deftones songs that helps me destress. Cheers!

And yet somehow still feels like nothing more than a lead-in to the next song, 'Korea', which is arguably an even better song - although comparisons are ridiculous, but still - that's a hell of a song, too. I wasn't able to even hear this song w/o pulling that one up next...which makes me pity people that aren't old enough to understand the value of playing full albums, and not just listening to singles.

I'll never forget. The album had just come out and I was in a band I loved and we would hang out all the time. I had my discman and on a summer night we just lay out on the front lawn (teens) and I was jamming to it in the dark while they talked. Such good times.

I was just thinking about how we possibly grew up in the last era of incredible musicianship - at least for now. "No wonder nothing is as good as what we've known" if this is true. There have been people I've seen talk about downloading hurting music, and I can't help but believe it literally, and the economy and travel restriction since 11.sept.01 have literally changed the culture all this great art came up, out of.

I'm 27 now and Deftones has been with me through thick and thin. When My parents got a divorce back when I was 10 andthis is the first song I've ever heard from them and I thought this was the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard since then. I remeber when I first saw their band name on a sticker and asking my mom who they were. She replied, " They are the greatest band to come out of the 90's and still be stronger and better then ever." And it was all history after that. I love my deftones, I just hope I get to see them live here soon!! R.I.P Chi

@@nine-toedsloth7168what riff is original in music anymore? There are only so many notes nobody owns a chord. It just can’t be a direct copy but if you want to play a g minor and a b minor or whatever or a minor e minor how many hundreds of people haven’t played the same even in the 60’s and 70’s alot of chord progressions are the same in all music and music today people rhyme the same combinations of words nothing is original but solos arrangement and the way it’s performed.
