Your hunch is actually correct. According to a theme park crazy video and other sources it is a converted Rolfe and Earl mech. You can see it is if you look at his left arm as it has the same movements as Rolfe however the arm is stuck in the raised position.

H G this one was ok for me. The one that creeped me out was the one you had to walked through. It sat over there by the Comet the roller coaster.

Lejon Forrest The Laff & Ride with the jester and witch appearing in the windows and "The Boo Band" on the balcony. Yep,that was demolished in the mid 2000's. The Lumalusion was renamed Scary Park a few years ago. Still a great dark ride that I ride every year.

Ha, ok, my niece and nephew and I rode it (many years ago) for the 1st time, and I only saw the cars lined up as a train. It appeared as if they were connected. So my niece and I got in the first seat (car), and my nephew behind us. He was only about 12 I think, and my niece and I were discussing whether or not he'd be alright in a seat alone. We were whispering about it as the ride started. So we both turned around to see if he was alright... we both turned around and realized he WASN'T THERE and we looked at each other and started laughing at exactly the same time! Maybe you had to be there, but it was just one of those perfectly-timed moments you never forget. :-)

Dark Rides are the source of lots of laughs at the expense of little kids. Disney World's Snow White (before it was toned down) was infamous for the constant stream of crying kids coming out of it.

I think Haunted Barrel Works is still operating. It's though to get to, on an island South of Toronto. As for the camera, you must realiz these videos were taken in the early 2000s. S-VHS, and then DV 8mm were the best there was. And S-VHS was better for low light. We're spoiled today with 1080p video in every cell phone.

I figured since they themed the outside of it like a haunted ride, that they must have done the same to the inside. I'm glad to know it's still the same.

Savage Mister It's the same,just some ghosts,skeletons and even a creepy clown have been drawn on the doors and walls to make it more spooky looking on the inside.

Its a good thing they dont use live actors. I hate live actors in darkrides, they ruin the ambience.

I'd like to talk to him about building and designing it. What is the layout of the track? I can kind of tell.but,with everything so dark,I'd like to know from him. Other then the addition of things on the walls,facade etc when it was changed to Scary Park,was anything else in it changed from when he built it in 1979? Why was it changed from Lumalusion to Scary Park? I think he has an interesting story to tell.
