Millions of dollars in aide is sent to Palestine to build infrastructure so as not to depend on Israel. But, 80% of Palestinians live in poverty. Hamas has an investment portfolio of real estate and assets worth half a billion dollars, and an annual military budget of $350,000,000. Aide that should be used to build hospitals, schools, libraries, is instead diverted to the purchase of missiles intended for the destruction Israel. Hamas leaders are living it up in Qatar. Current Hamas Leader, Ismail Haniyeh, worth over $4 billion, together with the family, left his home in the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza about two years ago. Abu Marzuk, Deputy Chair, Senior Hamas Political Leader who heads its “international relations office,” is estimated to be worth $3 billion. Khaled Mashal, former head of Hamas, who issued a global threat against Jews after the Oct. 7 atrocities, is worth more than $4 billion. They now are said to reside in the luxurious hotels of Doha. From their safe space, Hamas leaders are instructing Palestinians not to leave Gaza and they are blocked from leaving by Hamas militants, so that they may be killed and gain the world’s pity for them and wrath toward Israel. The following dialogue will destroy the illusion that Hamas has any ethics beyond genocidal violence and cruelty. So, if you really care about the plight of the Gazan civilians you will copy this link and listen to this enlightening interview- www.memri.org/tv/hamas-official-mousa-abu-marzouk-tunnels-gaza-protect-fighters-%20not-civilians “Hamas Official Mousa Abu Marzouk: The Tunnels In Gaza Were Built To Protect Hamas Fighters, Not Civilians; Protecting Gaza Civilians Is The Responsibility Of The U.N. And Israel” #10585 | 01:11h Source: Russia Today TV (Russia) Mousa Abu Marzouk, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau said in an October 27, 2023 interview that aired on Russia Today TV that the tunnels in Gaza were built to protect Hamas fighters from airstrikes, not civilians. He added that Hamas fights Israel from within the tunnels. Abu Marzouq added that since 75% of the residents in the Gaza Strip are refugees, it is the responsibility of the United Nations to protect them. He added that according to the Geneva Conventions, it is the responsibility of the "occupation" to provide civilians in Gaza "with all the services," as long as they are under “occupation.” Interviewer: "Many people are asking: Since you have built 500 kilometers of tunnels, why haven't you built bomb shelters, where civilians can hide during bombardment?" Mousa Abu Marzouk: "We have built the tunnels because we have no other way of protecting ourselves from being targeted and killed. These tunnels are meant to protect us from the airplanes. We are fighting from inside the tunnels. Everybody knows that 75% of the people in the Gaza Strip are refugees, and it is the responsibility of the United Nations to protect them. According to the Geneva Convention, it is the responsibility of the occupation to provide them with all the services as long as they are under occupation." As the Post Editorial Board succinctly states, “Hamas stands for indiscriminate terror and death, not the cause of Palestinian statehood.” Hamas knew that their massacre of Israelis was an act of war and that Israel would defend its country. Why didn’t they prepare provisions for the people of Gaza-food, water, medical supplies, etc.? They built 500 KM long tunnels, bunkers-enough room to hide women, children, and the elderly, to protect them. But, Hamas is not fighting to free Palestine nor to defend Gazan civilians. Hamas is based on ideologies of hatred and genocide reflected in Hamas’ charter, Article 7 of which reads, ‘There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!’ Israel takes many precautions to minimize Palestinian civilian casualties, by sending leaflets and text messages to evacuate an area that will be attacked. Unfortunately, Hamas blocks them from leaving, even going as far as killing them. Israel shields its people, while Hamas uses its people as shields. Both the Geneva Convention and US military law put the responsibility of harm to non-combatants to those that use them as human shields. It’s specifically described as such- Practice Volume II, Chapter 32, Section J Rule 97-“The use of human shields is prohibited…” Again, Hamas purposefully targets civilians and the Israelis strive to minimize Israeli and Gaza civilian casualties.

There is a saying in the law, that you may not do indirectly that which you are forbidden to do directly. The attack on UNWRA is an indirect method of perpetrating genocidal acts forbidden by the International Court of Justice on 26 January 2024.

Starving civilians is an ancient military tactic, but today, it’s a war crime. In 1998, the International Criminal Court Statute codified starvation methods as a war crime in international armed conflicts. A 2019 amendment expanded this doctrine to cover non-international armed conflicts - conflicts between states and organized armed groups or between organized armed groups. In addition to food, the legal definition of starvation also includes deprivation of water, shelter, and medical care. -THE CONVERSATION

Thank you Dr. Ali! Canada was one of the countries who immediately jumped on the bandwagon to defund UNRWA, but the next day stated they would fund other humanitarian aide relief sources - likely to avoid themselves being charged with complicity. The fact that Canada jumped immediately, and that they remain in solidarity with the accusation of guilt before unbiased investigations can even establish guilt is deplorable. You are absolutely correct, a country cannot have it both ways. Canada’s actions still amount to halting UNRWA. Still contribute to the hysteria of accusations of guilt before unbiased investigations, and still amount to persistent complicity

I believe they have cut funds for two reasons. The first is to spit on the ICJ judges for not dismissing SAs case and the second is to assist in erasing the targeted people. However, I doubt you can successfully prosecute anyone for not donating money.Just like they will never be able to find me guilty of deliberately boycotting the bussiness of a particuliar ethnic group. We can all spend our income where ever we like, providing the transaction is legal.

Allegations were made immediately following the ICJ ruling (timely) by Shin Bet - an Israeli secret service organisation. Allegations were based on confessions extracted during interrogations in a state where torture is legal. Therefore immediately suspect on all 3 counts, but not to the complicit states who coordinated defunding without verifying the allegations.

Really? The U.S. funding suspension doesn't even cause any loss of money to UNRWA until June. It's plenty of time for UNRWA to take this seriously and make the changes it needs to make. Other countries funding hits quicker, but the U.S. committing genocide by suspending funding is such a long stretch at this point as to be proof this guy is acting in his capacity as a Palestinian propagandist and not as an international lawyer.

@@ianogden5067 No, just disagreeing that the U.S. is participating in genocide by suspending funding. That's all. The ICJ did not demand a ceasefire, they obviously do not think there is an ongoing genocide. That leaves you people contending that. Which isn't enough.

‘Palestinian’ is not an ethnicity or a nationality. The word Palestine derives from Philistia, the name given by Greek writers to the land of the Philistines, who in the 12th century BCE occupied a small pocket of land on the southern coast, between modern Tel Aviv-Yafo and Gaza. The name was revived by the Romans in the 2nd century CE in “Syria Palaestina,” designating the southern portion of the province of Syria, and made its way into Arabic, where it has been used to describe the region at least since the early Islamic era. To reiterate this fact, the ‘Philistines’ originally came from the Greek Isles. Modern ‘Palestinians’ have no relation to them at all-they are Persian, Turkish, Syrian, and Arabian, mostly. SO, ACTUALLY, THE ISRAELIS ARE THE OG PALESTINIANS. Long live Israel in their region that was renamed Palestine by the Romans and was mandated as a Jewish state on 29 November 1947 by the UN General Assembly. On 29 November 1947, the UN General Assembly adopted the Plan as Resolution 181 (II): The plan envisages the division of Palestine into 3 parts: A Jewish state, an Arab State, and the City of Jerusalem, to be placed under an International Trusteeship system. The UN plan was to give the Arabs their own independent state, which never existed before, alongside Israel. Arabs in Palestine were asked by the Israelis to stay and live as citizens in the Jewish state. Arab leaders called for a mass evacuation to the period before the proclamation of Israeli statehood, because they expected an Arab military victory which would annihilate the Zionists. They thought they could leave temporarily and return at their leisure. The British terminated the Mandate on 14 May 1948 and Israel declared independence on the same day. The military forces of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Transjordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen attacked the State of Israel on May 15, 1948. Egypt and Jordan retained control over the Gaza Strip and the West Bank respectively. These armistice lines held until 1967. So, the people presently living in these territories are not ‘Palestinians’, but rather Egyptians and Jordanians respectively. The Arab forfeited their gift from the UN assembly when they declined the offer and instead tried to annihilate the Jews. To reiterate, ‘Palestinian’ was NEVER a Muslim Arab nationality: Ahmad al-Shukeiri, the first Chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, serving from 1964 to 1967, stated “It is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria.” Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) was founded in 1964. It sought to establish an Arab state over the entire territory of the former Mandatory Palestine, advocating the elimination of the State of Israel and the annihilation of Jews-WHICH IS WHAT YOU ARE KNOWINGLY PROTESTING IN YOUR RALLIES. LET US FACE IT-YOU HAVE ALLOW YOURSELF TO BELIEVE IN THE LIE OF A PALESTINE THAT WAS A MUSLIM ARAB STATE SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU HATE JEWS. SO, THAT YOU TOO CAN HAVE AN EXCUSE TO ‘RIGHTEOUSLY’ CALL FOR THE ELIMINATION OF THE ONLY JEWISH STATE IN THE WORLD AS YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE 49 MUSLIM DOMINANT COUNTRIES AND 22 ARAB STATES IN EXISTENCE. The headdress had no special meaning until Yasser Arafat draped it to approximate the shape of mandatory Palestine. Then it became an emblem of ‘Palestinian’ identity. Most of the Arabs from the territory of Palestine thought of themselves as members of an all-embracing Arab nation. It was Arafat who made the intellectual leap to a definition of the ‘Palestinians’ as a distinct people: He articulated the cause, organized for it, fought for it and brought it to the world's attention as no Kurd or Basque had ever managed. Arafat’s Fatah organization has always been linked to some of the bloodiest acts of terrorism in the Arab-Israeli conflict, including the massacre of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics in Munich and the 1974 murder of Israeli schoolchildren at Maalot. Israel takes many precautions to minimize Palestinian civilian casualties, by sending leaflets and text messages to evacuate an area that will be attacked.
