No I agree with you, they were going to name the baby Adam. I felt so bad for Drew when the truth came out. But I feel like since she lost the child anyway they should have kept it as Drew and Claire.

Making it Elis was just a cheap way to get Eclare back together after Eli called Clare a whore and the writers completely ruined their relationship. I hated Clew but I wish Drew had been the father.

Drew didn't even want the baby. He changed his mind later on because he thought he would seem like an asshole for leaving "his" kid. The thought of him having a baby stressed him out his senior year.
