I know it sounds crazy but I loved mental illness scenes as I sufferer from it as well and I thought it gave a good impact to what it is like to have it and how no one can actually know what is going on in persons mind

What the writers should do is make a character that is related to Rick (like a brother or sister )from Degrassi the next generation ,and see how how the character would handle people finding out that it's Rick's sibling

Technically not exactly, he could just be bi, as bi means 2 genders, in his case female and nonbinary. Poly refers to several genders, like 3 or more. I'm poly so I just thought I'd clarify.
